I was running through the woods. My legs and chest were on fire, but I had to keep going. I had to. I couldn't let that .. that thing get me. I didn't want to become a werewolf. I knew what all came with it. And honestly, the cons outweighed the pros.
"YOU CAN'T RUN FOREVER KEHLANI!" it growled out. Ha! Watch me, I thought as I ran faster, pushing my burning legs to move faster. I was so focused on running that I didn't see the fallen tree trunk as my high speed caused me to flip over it and land on my back. "Urghhh" I groaned out as I rolled to my side. I froze in my place as I felt heavy breathing above me. "Deucalion .. please" I breathed out.
"AAAHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed out in excruciating pain as teeth tore into my neck. My eyes rolled to the back of my head as the pain became too much. I heard more footsteps run up as I tried not to focus on the pain in my neck. "Next stop, Beacon Hills," I heard a younger guy say as I blacked out.
