CHAPTER VI. HALLOWEEN
Parties at Harry's continued every Friday for the next few weeks, until Autumn term break. It was Friday October 24th when Harry proposed that we should have a camping trip on Halloween night.

'You've got to be joking.' Dua immediately intervened. We were all sat in Harry's living room. Dua and Kendrick were on one side of the sofa, Lana on the other and I was on the shiny wooden floor, my back against the sofa's arm. Harry was a few feet away, also perched on the floor, facing all four of us.

'What's wrong with camping?' He questioned, he had a champagne bottle in hand.

'Nothing's wrong with camping, Harry, it's going camping on Halloween that's the problem.' She explained, and Kendrick nodded along.

'Yeah, Dua's got a point, Harry.' Kendrick said, making Harry roll his eyes.

'I think it's a good idea.' Lana piped up from behind me on the sofa.

'Of course you do.' I muttered, and she playfully nudged my shoulder. Harry looked at the four of us with confusion.

'Look, I thought you guys would be on board with this. Just imagine it, like a real-life horror movie.' He said, before shaking his head in defeat. 'Okay, we'll have a vote. All those in favour of the camping trip, raise your hand.'

I glanced around the group to see only Lana and Harry with their hands raised. Harry looked disappointed, sending a final hopeful look my way. I sighed before raising my hand. What had I just got myself into?

Harry's face lit up at my gesture. 'Pack your tents and alcohol, looks like we're going camping!' Our hands fell down.

'We don't even have tents.' Dua pointed out.

'I can buy tents.' He replied, 'I can get them on Wednesday. I may need some help carrying them though.'

'Don't look at me man, it's my mom's birthday. She'll flip out if I'm not home.' Kendrick said. Harry looked towards Lana.

'My dad's making me go to violin practice every Wednesday. I won't have time.' She said nonchalantly.

'Violin practice?' I turned around.

'Yeah.'

'Why violin practice?'

'My dad says it's a good feminine skill to have.' She explained with a shrug, I turned around and locked eyes with Harry, sending him a comedic eye roll. We both chuckled.

'I'll come with you, Harry.' I told him and his mouth spread into a deep smile.

'Cool beans.'

'Never say that again.' Dua ordered and we all giggled.

'It's the champagne.'

'What about the champagne?' Kian stepped into the living room, sitting down in the space beside me. 'Why are you guys in here? The party's wild out there.'

'We're discussing going camping on Halloween night.' Harry told him, and Kian's brown eyes widen. He peered towards the others.

'Really? I don't know about that guys, it sounds scary.' He replied.

'Kian can be our deciding vote.' Dua interrupted. 'Kian, do you want to go?'

'Yeah, I guess it could be fun.' He hesitantly said, making both Kendrick and Dua sigh in unison. Of course Kian wouldn't decide against his best friend. Dua and Kendrick should have known better.

I suddenly felt a hand fall onto my thigh and noticed that it was Kian's. He leant in slightly, the scent of whiskey on his breath, as he asked, 'You're going right?'
