The day before was an utter wreck yet every one was so joyful it happened and the next day was bittersweet as they parted ways on one end. The day after, for mentioned was as it always had been, average as usual, boring. Reino sat with Folish Chromethos and Rose sipping holy sake and reciting business as usual as Folish drank to get drunk, and was heavily disappointed with the product of a bitter taste at the back of her throat and not a single buzz. Rose took only a few sips and took it upon herself to pour the sake for her higher-ups and long forgot her own sake as it sat on the wooden tray betrayed.

Chromethos kept his serious behavior throughout the whole time focusing solely on the task at hand and how their team was going to live and the expenses they needed. He had ideas that he wanted to put in action himself. He thought deeply about if he wanted to bring up the case that he was so very desperate to test but decided otherwise on it until he felt they would take his madman idea into consideration.

His idea was to use a virus, chimera virus. He had prayed and bowed for hours to get his concoction to bear fruit, it took a lot of his energy and blood to get to the point he was at now in his dream of killing peacefully if he wished. The chimera virus he had made from scrambling near death was greater than any weapon made thus far, he believed. After being infected the assailant affects all of those who had done great wrongs in their lifetime and not repented or thought about it. Of course, he knew that it would not affect every solider but it would take the life of many all he needed to do was to perfect it by having its greatest flaw heed to exist.

The chimera virus' flaw was that it would spread. It would spread and eventually kill every being who did wrong and he was afraid it would even take the life of his Commander and great friend, she had done wrong and had not repented, and he knew that all too well, but she did it to someone who had done worse than she had. Chromethos understood that and would never wish death upon her or anyone like her. He would have to pray for night to have it at its peak. This kept him reluctant to expose it to them even, in fright the three would fall dead immediately in its presence.

Chromethos internally sighed glowering at the thought of another night praying near naked in the cold with blood dripping from every part of his body trembling as he had to stay in the same bowing position till a forest guardian cross his path and send him away in disdain. He shuddered at even the thought of seeing another one of those animal catastrophes even turn his way and huff at him, they where born enemies and just so happened they where born to always see each other. He usually wouldn't mind bravely facing a forest guardian but a witch in its worst and most vulnerable form was pitiful to see and he did not want t to expose himself to those mishap creatures.

A snap in his face caught him as he realized he was pouting for the sake. He looked down the arm to see Reino looking pointedly at him. He looked down and saw why she was upset, he spilled sake on the wooden tray he apologized and rushed to get a cloth and clean his mess. Reino sighed at him and helped to pull the black cloth from her belt and dabbing on the off-white stain he left behind. Chromethos gave a lopsided guilty smile and patted her hand pushing her off and continue to work to get the stain off of the tray. Reino rose and sighed as she briskly started on her way to get a soaking powder to reduce to stain.

Chromethos stopped wiping and went back to thinking of the next painful nights that would pass him and ways he could diminish the amount of damage his pride would take. He sighed and leaned back with his hands on the pillow next to him Folish just crossed her arms and shook her head at him knowing too well that he was distressed with something. Rose just tilted her head and poured him more sake.

Reino's P.O.V

(Yeah I am doing this to make writing more fluid and lessen the need for calling out names and make you feel connected to her. Fighting!)

I walked to the medical tent full of distress. Why was Chro acting so strange? He is the type to never break face even in the worst situations so, why? I shook my head and picked up the pace I don't want the wood to soak up the sake and swell.l I ran into the golden tarp and shuffled through the potions and serums that Chro had made. I found at least five different powders with no label and the others where all unrelated to what I was looking for I didn't want to mess with his things and fall victim to his wrath so I decided to just take all of the powders with me and ask him which was for soaking.

I tramped along the path my team's worn feet created and ran off towards the purple tent were my comrades lie in waiting. I barged into the marquee and Sat near Chromethos putting all the supplies I found in front of me, his face went blank and cold and I smacked his head lightly.

"Which one of these powders do I use to set this blotch?" I asked him raising a pointed eyebrow as he sputtered and pulled a glass container full of blue dust toward himself. I sighed and pulled it from his hands."Is this it? You should say so you punk" I playfully glowered at him but h still stammered and his lips still curled into an apprehensive leer. I set down the glass jar and waited for him to move patiently. He pulled up a bottle of grey powder and spread it across the stain.

I frowned at my comrade but stayed quiet and thought of jokes to use as comic relief for the bunch but my head was full of anxiety and the world around me was darkening as the seconds passed, because as of now we all sat in an awkward silence. A stream sound broke the aforementioned silence, Rose was pouring a cup of sake. The daunting mood broke immediately after she finished. Folish snatched the cup, drank and belched out loudly towards Chromethos and he faked a gag.

Rose glanced at my face with her falsely personified naive gaze and brightened when I threw her a smile so she would stop her silly antics.'Hmm what else would help these rug rats from being so depressing, well at least him' I looked over to Chro who was still rubbing his arms' that nervous habit of his always leaves him exposed. Princess needs to get his act together to fool me' I smirked at him causing him to jump in shock and fear. "So princess, how about you tell us whats troubling you. Ease your mind a bit and tell us we are all friends here right?" I said with faux worry. Folish nodded at me and pushed Chromethos to talk. Rose simply poured me another cup of sake to which I cheered to her for.

Chro sighed and heaved out a groan." I was working on a virus, you know to get rid of enemies faster." I just nodded and he continued in grief. " The flaw is that it spreads and kills anyone who has done any wrongs in their entire life. I fear that if it meets you, It will make you bunch fall ill." Rose let out a sound of understanding but Folish grit her teeth at him.

"You act as if we have all done wrong in this world." Folish harrumphed at him. Chro smacked his lips and flipped his short hair dramatically."Well, I suppose blowing people to bits is virtuous as it gets?" He rolled his eyes while she gaped at him. Folish rose, blew a raspberry to Chro and stomped off to god knows where.

I just sat as all those in my quarters wandered off. I then pulled my sword forth, its gleaming yellow sheath. Today I absolutely have to try and figure out what the hell is going on with this blade. I placed it in front of me and carefully unsheathed it and sett the sheath aside.

I took a deep breath. God, please have mercy on my soul today. And within the minutes I sat there a shadow bounced along the shine in the blade as the tint darkened. I took another deep breath and cringed as A hand of metal pulled from the blade, rippling like water. It pushed itself up as it faded into a creamy skin color and the rough bent metal turned into a soft jacket.

"So you finally face your fears foolish girl? I thought you were just going to lose it and take your own life, but this turns out as well." A raspy voice seeming to come from nowhere laughed at me. The creamy hand wrapped around my throat as I felt hair tickling my face. I looked up at it and met a fox mask decorated in yellow swirls and marking.

Before I even think I cursed the heavens. Damn you, God, I told you to have mercy.
