my situation

~Lauren's POV~

why is it that even though I try everything to be noticed, but I'm still oh so invisible? my thoughts beat me up because i know I'm nothing special, I'm not smart, athletic or even pretty. I'm a nobody but I love somebody! Danny, oh Danny the nicest hottest smartest most athletic guy! I bet you've never heard of all of that in a guy but Danny was it, but he was dating the beautiful Sierra. She's my polar opposite. She's gorgeous, smart, athletic, and so perfect, and so special! so much more special than I could ever be.

I know it sounds like I'm depressed or emo, but the truth is my life is hard. my grades suck, my mom died of a heart attack when I was 6, and my life consists of being "the mom" to 2 guys who don't appreciate me at all. My dad beats me, my brother, Shane is kind of a closed book. I just don't know what to do.

"Shane, do you need your clothes washed?" I asked. "No." he responded. I'm not sure why he didn't, looking at his room, he need everything washed! "Lauren, why are you yelling in my house, get in my room, you piece of crap!" my dad yelled. "dad I'm sorry I was just trying to see if Shane needed his clothes washed. please, don't hurt me!"

-BAM!SMACK!CRACK!-

Great he bought a whip I thought to myself as he cracked me with it. it's not like I could do anything about it. so most of the time I just took the beating, one time he broke my arm and took me to the hospital and when the doctors asked what happened my dad told them that I fell off of my bike but I don't even own a bike.

~Shane's POV~

I bet you're all wondering why my dad beats Lauren, well truth is he doesn't like women. I mean he killed our mom and told Lauren she had a heart attack. He beats Lauren because she is pretty, I think. Lauren may say she's ugly but truth is, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, but I can't tell her that because I'm her brother.

My first day of school as a Junior was tomorrow. I felt bad for Lauren because she was only a sophomore and she has no car and no drivers license, but only because my dad won't let her have one. he thinks she will try to run away, and then who would he have to beat!(sarcasm)
