Daniels face lit up when his soft gaze fell on her face. There she was, in the middle of strobe lights and people dancing closely together. Maybe it was just the buzz of the alcohol but something made him want to run to her and sweep her up in his arms. Something inside of him wanted to make all of the guys around her stop staring. It was no secret that she was beautiful, and looked great in the dress he bought her, but he couldn't help but feel upset that she wasn't  his and that she wasn't doing anything wrong by talking to those guys. He had to do something though. Daniel was close to jumping off the table and tackling the boy that just asked her to dance, jealousy coursing through him, when Zach noticed. Zach immediately stepped in between Chloe and the boy.

"Sorry, She has a boyfriend." Zach said, sounding braver then he was.

"Zach, what the hell." Chloe whispered.

The boys face scrunched up in anger.

"And who would that be?"

"Me." Zach said.

Daniel felt the anger leave him. He knew what Zach was doing.

"Yeah, sure you are pip-squeak. Move, she's mine."

Zach was about to speak when a voice cut in.

"I am nobody's." Chloe said angrily, before grabbing Zach's hand and marching away. Daniel hopped down and followed.

Chloe pulled Zach into a room that looked like a really big pantry. Daniel followed, but stood by the door, making sure she didn't see him.

"Okay, What the hell Zach?" Chloe asked after closing the door.

"I'm just keeping Mr.Crazy Pants from getting into a fist fight with Mr.Steroids!"

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN?!"

"DANIEL, I'm mean Daniel! Calm down woman!"

"Daniel?" Chloe questioned.

Zach rolled his eyes before sliding the door open. Daniel, who had been leaning against the door, fell inside the pantry with a loud thud.

"Danie-"

"HES A PERV."

"What?"

"Your too good for him!" Daniel said, struggling to get to his feet.

Chloe sighed and held out her hands to him. He grabbed them and chloe pulled him up. When he got to his feet, Daniel hugged/ fell onto chloe and she wrapped her arms around his waist to hold him up.

Zach smirked at her and Chloe rolled her eyes.

"Sorry." He mumbled into her shoulder.

"Dani, your drunk as hell." Chloe sighed.

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Fuck you."

"Not even on your birthday."

"Not even on Christmas?"

"Nope."

Daniel gave a drunk laugh and attempted to stand on his own.
"I would any day of the week." Daniel said before opening the door and walking away.

"Even drunk he's still super smooth." Zach laughed.

Chloe's cheeks felt like they were burning. She smiled and shook her head. "He's extremely drunk."
