Summer's POV

It was finally the day of the party, the one day that I had been dreading all week, Carlson had kept coming over every lunch time and every English lesson he would move his table next to mine and chat with me. Sammy wanted me to get dressed up for the night but I had slipped into a pair of jeans with a vest top, I'd been to parties before obviously my brother's though his were mainly for eighteen year old, I didn't wear anything like this but I didn't want to stand out and Sammy always got really over the top when it came to parties so I was hoping to leave the house before she came up and attacked me.

Unfortunately even all of the hoping and praying in the world would not have prevented this from happening, I didn't even hear her car pull up before she had bounded up the stairs and bombarded me.

"You are not wearing THAT. What are you thinking? Do you want him to faint from how bad your clothing is?" I've heard her spew a bunch of random words before but nothing that weird! She was definitely excited for tonight, probably because I was so nervous and she got to treat me like her project, she always loved having a task to complete in art.

She started rummaging through my closet throwing out possibilities that I could wear until she stopped, just stopped and looked at me with an evil grin on her face, oh no, she's found The Dress. It was white and stopped at mid-thigh, it clung to every curve and piece of skin on my body, it wrapped around my neck creating a gap were my chest is, making my chest look bigger than it really was. Not something that you would expect a sixteen year old to wear, she through it at me then grabbed a pair of black heels that would make me about three inches taller.

"I am NOT wearing that." Unfortunately a look of determination crossed across her face, I wasn't even going to try and fight her if you knew Sammy you would know that she wouldn't give up when she was determined to do something, it was actually how she ended up being my brother's girlfriend.

I changed into the dress and slipped a belt around my waist, popping the heels on as I sat down at my dressing table just waiting for Sammy to start, what she calls a masterpiece. We had another hour before the party so she curled my hair, placing half of it up on top of my head clipping some white flowers around it, once she was done we had twenty minutes to get there, the party had started about half an hour ago but we didn't want to be one of the first people to get there.

We raced down the stairs, my excitement finally kicking in as we jumped into Sammy's truck, she was an unusual girl that was for sure but she didn't love much more than this truck that he dad had given her before he had gone away to fight in Afghanistan. I'd been there while we waved him goodbye and consoled her when she missed him, or was scared that she was going to lose him, it was around that time that she had started to talk to Aaron my brother, he had consoled her when I couldn't and they'd both fallen for one another.

We arrived at Carlson's house just before the clock switch to eight, we lived in a posh estate which was about an hour drive just to drive around the entire thing and I lived at the other end to Carlson. The music was loud enough that we could still hear it from in the car, we got out only to have to stand over the passed out bodies that were already filling the front yard, a group of guys hung around the door way smoking something that was not a cigarette, they gave us a low wolf whistle to which we rolled our eyes at while we were trying to avoid the couples or threesomes that were making out, people sure got their party on within the hour.

"Well hello there ladies, Summer you should hold my hand so I can keep you safe." I blushed at his comment but didn't take the hand the he was holding out to me, 'he sure was my favourite person of the world' I commented to myself with a roll of my eyes not even bothering to reply to him, he gave me a short whistle mumbling about my bitterness which made me give him a small chuckle. We walked into his house, first thing that happened was a drink was pushed into my hand I smelled what looked like punch though it smelt of something different so I put it down on the next counter that I saw. Carlson handed me a different drink, I smelt it just to make sure and looked to see that it was just water so he wasn't planning on getting me drunk, though it wouldn't work because I wouldn't go near any alcohol.

I thought I would tease him with it anyway, "I'm not going to get drunk and fall into your arms." With a small wink I walked away from him making my way to the back door already wanting to get some fresh air, I walked past some furniture that had some questionable stains on them I was going to be avoiding that tonight, everyone inside was sitting and drinking, making out and drinking, dancing out and drinking, so I chose the first one as it seemed to be the least dangerous. I opened the back door sitting on the swing chair that was located to the right of the door. I swallowed the fresh air, looking at the stars that covered the sky like a quilt, I heard someone open the back door so I glanced around noticing that Sammy was already grinding up to people but snapping at anyone that tried to kiss or touch her inappropriately it was the reason that my brother didn't always come with us as we both trusted her.

While I was thinking about that the seat swung slightly as someone sat down next to me, Carlson sat down next to me giving me someone to talk to for the rest of the night.
