Summer's POV
"Where are you going?" Jay asked me while he was still half asleep, it was cute really he had fallen asleep in the chair that Carlson had once been sat in, I'd no idea where he had gone he just left and I had no clue what he was about to say but I was going to pop round later to found out what.
"I'm going to the bathroom nosey." I said with a wink, my parents were coming home tonight around eight so we had a day to ourselves, Jay had a job interview to go to for the kids play area down the road at five so he would be leaving then which was when I was going to pop out to go and see Carlson, I don't know why but I felt as though what he was about to say was really important whether to him, to me or to both of us.
I finished my business wondering back into my room; Jay was now asleep on my bed, well thank you. I was still tired and not hungry in the slightest so I climbed into the other side of the bed, not snuggling with him just on the other side of the bed so that I could sleep again, it would have worked too if Jay didn't like to sleep with a teddy meaning as soon as he realised that someone else was in the bed he moved up to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, I was too tired to care so just fell asleep again.
When I woke up I saw Sammy leaning over me prodding my shoulder, I stared at her. "What are you doing Sammy?" I whisper yelled noticing that Jay was still asleep.
"What are you doing? What happened to Carlson, who's this dude?" She whisper yelled back at me, I guess I did owe her an explanation I slowly slipped out of the bed glad that I always slept in PJ's then Sammy or Jay wouldn't get an eye full of what was only meant for the one person I was going to spend my life with, I had thought that I might stay with Carlson for a while but it didn't seem like that was going to happen now.
"OH GOD. What happened to your face?" Sammy screamed when we got downstairs, I gave her a sour look then flicked my eyes upstairs to signal that Jay was still asleep; she immediately lowered her voice to her usual, "What happened to your face?" I loved Sammy; she always pushed the important subjects first making sure that I was okay before going on about the little interesting facts about my life.
"Well Carlson hit me accidentally," Her eyes widened in shock about to burst out in a rant about him but I placed a finger on her lips before carrying on, "He was meant to hit Marley because he was teasing him about me." Sammy nodded her head slowly understanding the situation before saying something about its sweet that he would fight for you or something like that I stopped listening as soon as she went into soppy mode but suddenly as if a switch had been flicked she went back to Jay.
"Was Marley the guy in your bed?" I shook my head.
"Marley's my sister’s boyfriend. The guy in my bed is Jay one of his friends, nothing’s happening between us I still like Carlson." A door slammed shut, I'm assuming the front door I ran to the door opening just looking at Jay's retreating figure, great. Now I had upset to guys in my life.
"I'm going to see Carlson later, he was going to tell me something but I've no idea what."
"So your sisters back?" Sammy had just nodded at the news about Carlson, she probably had an idea of what it was but wouldn't tell me so she changed the subject, and she always had been secretive with things that she liked me to figure out or find out on my own.
"Yeh the guys dead or something like that, she wouldn't go into much detail I think she's still sore about the whole ordeal not that I blame her, she had to run for almost all of her teenage life. I always knew she was okay though, the whole twin connection rubbish." Sammy knew all about my sister we had all been great friends, Sammy was just as upset as I was when suddenly Autumn disappeared from our lives unable to talk to us, we were only allowed to know what had happened a year later when everything seemed to be going back to normal just to make sure that no one had been listening in on us trying to find out where she was. "Aren't there other people that would be following her?" I shook my head, the guy had been caught in a room full of his little minions according to Marley and he had been shot then and there.
We spent the day at the swimming pool in town, not knowing what else we would do as Jay never came back and I hadn't got his phone number so I couldn't ask him what was wrong even if I had a pretty good idea about what it was.
So it was about six and the swimming pool shut down so Sammy and I went home to shower, Aaron was home from work by then so Sammy stayed at mine while I went round to Carlson's.
Knocking on the door it was opened by an incredibly angry Lauren, she had no makeup on for once and I have to admit she looked so much better then when she had it on as when she did put it on it always went wrong, like bits of eyeliner wouldn't line up or it would be in patches rather than a line, she definitely wasn't model perfect though.
"What do you want?" She spat at me, I laughed and said Carlson. "You aren't having him, don't you think you've caused him enough damage traipsing around with other guys while he's here on his own playing video games and drowning himself in beer."
"I'm sure he's had plenty of girls Lauren, he's not exactly ugly or nerdy he's damn close to perfection, apart from this lovely bruise that is forming on my face." Lauren finally noticed it, her face changing from anger to gentle within seconds; well this was a new Lauren.
