2) Travel Time

Sky's POV
I wake up the next morning to an empty house. I sigh and pick up the phone to call Tyde.

"Hello?" Tyde says.

"Hey Tyde, it's Sky. When do ya want me to come over?" I ask.

"Well are you ready?" Tyde asks.

"Ya." I reply

"Well I want to walk with ya so I'm walking to your house right now to pick ya up ok?" Tyde says.

"Ok sounds great." I reply.

"Ok see ya in a bit!" he says.

"See ya!" I reply as I hang up

I grab my packed bags and head downstairs. I sit on the bottom of the stairs and look out the window.

Sometimes I wonder why I have this life. My parents are gone, I somehow have accumulated a bunch of fans? Why me? Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. Does every thirteen year old feel this way?

I hear a knock on the door and see Tyde standing there.
I open the door.

"Heyooo lets gooo." Tyde says as he throws one of my backpacks over his shoulder.
We head out and make our way to his house.

"So vas cracka lackin?" Tyde asks as he puts an arm around my shoulders.

I know what you're thinking... But Tyde and I are just friends, best friends.

"Erm we'll....nothing really." I say honestly.

"Hey when we get to my house we should go swimming!" Tyde says excitedly.

"Ya! that would be great to kick off the summer!" I reply

"Are ya excited for Vidcon?" He asks.

"I don't know, I'm a little nervous." I say.

"Aw you'll be fine! And plus I'll be there." Tyde sys jokingly.

We finally make it to Tyde's house and his family is chilling in the living room.

"Hi mom!" I say to Tyde's mom because she is basically my own mother.

"Hey Sky!" she says as she embraces me.

"SAGEY!" I say excitedly as she engulfs me in a bear hug.

"How are ya little one?" she asks.

"Hey! I'm not that small! And good." I reply

"We'll you are literally shorter than everyone else" Troye says.

"TROYE!" I say excitedly.

"Why do you act like we never see you? We see you like everyday." Troye laughs as he hugs me.

Soon his laughs turn into a chorus of laughter as everyone else joins along.

"Alright, Sky you can go put your things in your room." Mom says.

"Ok" I smile as I walk away.

I really love Tyde's family. They are all super funny and caring.

I unpack my things and put them into the empty drawers. Soon Sage comes in to help me. She helps me fold my clothes and put them into drawers as we chat.

"Skylar?" she asks.

"Yes?" I say.

"How do you look extremely gorgeous if you never wear make up?" She asks.

"Haha funny, I don't like make up. And you look like a freakin model and you barely wear it!" I reply.

"Aw you're so cute Sky." Sage coos.
