-One Week Later-
Every morning always seemed to be the same; wake up, get ready, Dad doesn't say anything to me, Mom kisses me goodbye and then I'm on my way.
I walked into the doors of the school and saw Juvia talking to a dark raven haired boy, he was well toned and genuinely attractive. Juvia and him would look so cute together.
Juvia glanced over into my direction and saw me looking at her. I waved for her to come over to where I was standing. She saw me smirk and raise my eyebrow at the boy she was talking to.
She blushed and waved goodbye to the mystery boy and walked over to me.
"Hey Juvia," I said in my most cheerful voice, "Who was that you were talking to?" I grinned from ear to ear as her face turned even more red than it already was.
Juvia glanced back in the boy's direction and blushed when she saw him talking and horse playing with some of his buddies. She turned back to me and looked down at the floor with a small smile.
"No one, I barely know him." Juvia stuttered over her last few words which gave it away that she was lying.
"Mm-hmm, sure it was." My smile grew as she quickly turned around a tried to speed walk away from me. I only laughed and caught up to her in attempt to not be left alone.
"Don't worry about it Juv, I won't tell anyone, I promise." She weakly smiled as my reassurance was taking effect.
"So Lucy, have you seen anyone you might be interested in? This school is full of good looking guys, you have to at least of picked one you think is cute." Normal Juvia was back and now prying me for answers on my love life, which isn't something that exists.
"Well I don't really know a lot of people and plus I don't want to waste my time worrying about how I look for a certain person that would never notice me." I laughed and continued walking down the main hall.
"What the hell are you talking about, Lucy? You're absolutely gorgeous! You could probably pull any guy in this school if you wanted to!" Juvia seemed genuinely surprised at my comment. I laughed at her efforts and only shrugged it off.
"I'm too 'nerdy' for most of the guys at this school. Besides, I should focus on my education, I just need to graduate, after all, I only have the rest of the year left until I graduate, I don't want to worry about relationships." I arrived outside my first class of the day and glanced inside the door, most of the students were already inside the class.
"Well, this is my stop so I gotta go." I waved to my blue haired friend and walked into the class and went straight to my seat.
First through fourth hours went by in one big daze, like I was just floating through the day without a care.
Soon lunch came around and I found my seat next to Juvia near a table of crazy highschool boys yelling and play fighting and throwing food every now and then like zoo animals. I smiled as they all reminded me of bunch of goofy monkeys.
"Hey, so since it's friday, you wanna hang out after school?" Juvia briefly glanced over to the table of boys and showed a quick smile but faded as soon as it showed, but I didn't miss it., "We can go get frozen yogurt and go see a movie or something. I just really want to go do something fun."
Another glance in the direction of the boy's table. Then I realized who she kept looking at, the boy with raven colored hair.
"So, what's mystery boy's name? I see the way you look at him. Who is he?" Juvia's faced flushed and she lightly smiled.
"His name is Gray, I've liked him since junior high and we've been pretty good friends throughout the years. We grew up together because we used to be neighbors. He's just so..." Juvia just trailed off into a list of all the things she loves about Gray, somewhere ending with, "....Charming, and fit, and so unbelievably hot.." Juvia's eyes were all sparkly and lit up just by talking about the damn guy.
"Can I meet him?" I said blatantly. That seemed to snap her out of her daze of daydreaming and fantasizing.
"I guess you could, just don't tell him about anything I just said, please Lucy." I only nodded and just turned back to the table where Gray and his friends were sitting.
Gray looked over at Juvia and waved, in returned she waved him over to get him to walk over to us, which he ended up doing after he told his friends where his was going.
He came over to us and Juvia was instantly a giant bubble of smiles and giggles.
"Gray, this is Lucy, she transferred here about a week ago and she wanted to meet you." I looked at Gray and gave him a warm smile, he returned the gesture. He turned back to Juvia and smirked at her too. He quickly glanced back over his shoulder to his friends that were telling him to come back to the table.
He swiftly turned back to me and Juvia and pointed towards his friends.
"Hey so me and some of my buddies are havin' a big party at my house tonight if you guys might be interested. It's supposed to be epic so you guys should stop by." I looked over to Juvia and smiled as for this could be her chance to actually hang out with lover boy.
"We'll be there, plus Lucy was saying she wanted to do something fun tonight, guess it was meant to be." Juvia went all smiley and googly eyes over the thought of partying with Gray. I only smiled and looked back to Gray.
"Great, see you both tonight, make sure to wear something...interesting." Gray winked at me without Juvia noticing and turned on his heel and returned to his table.
'Oh my god..Juvia's crush just winked at me! What do I do?! Do I tell her what he just did? What if she gets jealous? Oh god.' I thought to myself.
I sighed and got up from my seat and went to dump my lunch tray in the garbage can.
"Lucy wait up!" Juvia skipped up next to me and smiled, "So what are you gonna wear to the party?"
"I don't know yet, but I want to have the best night of my life tonight, it's senior year, I'm gonna make it great."
Me and Juvia looked at each other and grinned.
Tonight was going to be amazing.
