"Holy shit...." I said, voice low with wonder "It's bigger on the inside!"
Seamus just stood there, mouth opening and closing in shock. "That's impossible!"
The Doctor looked up "You followed me here!"
Seamus pointed to me "Entirely her idea"
The Doctor looked at me "You. You! You are curious. I like that in a person."
I smiled, and Seamus scowled.
"This thing is bigger on the inside" I said "How is that?"
"Timelord physics."
"Whatlord physics?" Seamus asked.
"Timelord. That's me."
Seamus frowned at him. "But I thought you said your name was the Doctor."
"It is" was the reply "Timelord is my species. I'm alien, I suppose."
I walked up to him and put his face in my hands. I brought my face closer to his, studying every feature. Large prominent eyebrows, thin lips, pale smooth skin, spiky brown hair and those lovely old brown eyes. All of it looked normal to me. No second pupil or third nostril, no odd spot, nothing out of the ordinary. And, if I might say, all of it rather nice.
"But...you look so...so...human." I whispered.
The Doctor put his hands on my face, looked me in the eyes and said "And you look so Timelord."
I laughed a little "Oh."
Seamus cleared his throat and I stepped back, embarassed. The Doctor let his hands fall to his sides, comepletely unruffled.
"So what is this place?" Seamus asked.
The Doctor lit up immediately. "This" he said "Is my TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space. My ship." he added, seeing the confused looks on our faces "It can take you anywhere in time or space."
"So...like Mars in the year 3045?" I asked.
"Exactly like that."
"You could go see a Shakesperian play in the original Globe Theatre?" Seamus asked excitedly. Shakespeare was one of his passions.
"Yeah, easy."
"Could you take me to meet Marie Curie? Or Jack the Ripper?" My eyes were bright with interest.
"Jack the Ripper?!" Seamus exclaimed "Why the hell would you want to see him?!"
"Her actually!" piped in the Doctor.
"I dunno." I said, turning to the Doctor "Could you?"
He looked at me and grinned "Absolutely."
"I'll pack a bag." I said.
"What?!" Seamus said "You can't just pack a bag and take off!"
"I was hoping we could just pack a bag and take off." I said.
"I-" he stuttered, then turned to the Doctor "Are you okay with this?!"
The Doctor just shrugged, a light of amusement dancing in his eyes. Seamus turned back to me. I gave him my jaunty, winning smile and he sighed, shaking his head.
"You're mad, all of you." he said, and I pleaded with my eyes "Oh, alright."
"Yay!" I exclaimed, running at him and knocking him to the floor in a flying hug-tackle, finishing it all with a kiss on the lips.
