I opened my eyes, sunlight streaming through the window. I stood up and walked out. A few people were up. Shane, T Dog, Jackie, Merle, Glenn, and Maria's dad stood in a circle. After a minute, they shouldered bags and sacks. Then they jogged off. I walked per too Shane, who stayed. "Where are they going?" I asked. "On a run for some supplies that we need. They'll be back." He replied. I walked over to the bucket with the water. I splashed my face.
When the others got up, I was helping Amy make breakfast. We were heating up a can of soup and some bread. Once everyone had eaten and I'd done the dishes, we gathered into a circle. "Ok, everyone, listen up. Andrea, T Dog, Merle, Glenn, and Jackie have gone on a run into Atlanta for some stuff that we need. They'll be back late tomorrow at the latest." Shane said. After he finished talking, we gathered in groups to talk.
"Carl, why don't you, Sophia, and Isabelle go play in the dirt over there?" she said. "Ok." Carl said. Lori, Carol, and Amy clearly wanted to talk without us hearing. We began to play.
