After I stopped crying and got cleaned up, I realized that Merle didn't come back. I didn't ask anyone anything. Shane and Rick were arguing about what to do. Shane wanted to stay here near Atlanta, because he still believed that the army would come. Or, if we had to go, then Shane wanted to go to Fort Bennett. Rick wanted to go to the CDC. I realized that I missed out on a lot while I was in shock.
It was obvious that Rick was taking place as the leader, and that Shane was mad about that so much for being 'best friends'. They asked me where I wanted to go, stay, Fort Bennet, or CDC. They were taking a vote. Apparently I would be the tie-breaker. I absently said, "CDC." Shane said, "Rick, she don't know what she's saying. She's in shock." I stood up. "For your information, I do know exactly what I'm saying. If I said Fort Bennett or stay here, you'd be all for it! So get over that I chose Rick's option. Thanks." Then I turned and walked away.
