Chapter 4

*after Daniel brought you home*
As you make lunch for your mom you can't help but smile at everything that has happened. You always thought going outside would be dangerous. But it wasn't. It was fun and exciting. You wished that Daniel was there to keep you company because he was so much fun to talk to. I felt like Daniel was my best friend. As I finished making moms sandwich I went into her room and put it on the desk. I walked over to her and lightly touched her arm.
*whispering*
Y: hey Mom..... it's time to wake up Mom.... Mom wake up it's time for lunch.
As soon as I said lunch she woke up. It made me laugh every time. I giggled and get her another pillow so she could prop herself up. I walked over to the tray and grabbed it. I handed it to her and gave her glass of water and put it on the table next to her bed.
Y: Mom why haven't I ever been allowed to go outside?
She stopped eating and looked at me. Then she looked down at her food and put it down.
Mom: oh baby, your father is just worried you'll get hurt. He's already losing me... he doesn't want to lose you too.
I nodded my head and hugged her. I smiled and kissed her head before I walked out of the room and into the kitchen where Daniel's phone was laying on the table. I opened it and went into snapchat. He showed me how to use it on the way back to the house. It was so cool. I opened it up and looked at it. Daniel had sent me something and I got a notification of a new friend.
I looked at the new friends account it said "itszachherron" I added him back and looked at the funny picture that Daniel sent me. I laughed and decided to snap him.

Y: Hey, i know I just got home but how long is it going to take to get my new phone? I'm just really really excited!!!
D: haha. It will be done hopefully by tomorrow morning!
Y: ok. My dad shouldn't be home by then so Maybe you can bring it over?
D:sounds good. Quick question?
Y:quick answer...
D: some of the boys want to come over. And Eben wants to meet you. So I told them I would ask when you wanted us to come hang.
Y: soon, my dad is leaving again soon, he'll be gone for a week for some conference. We can hang out then. And plus it's been about 6 months since the last time my mom went in to get looked at so my dad is taking her in for the week so that they can do tests and stuff so I'll have the house to myself.
D: so do you think you could stay over here...? Or I stay over there?
Y: I would love that and let's do it here in case of...
D:okay sounds good. Talk to you later short stack!
Y: really... short stack. 🙄
D: come on its great.
Y: whatever. Bye Daniel! 🤣
*next day*
~~~~~~~~~~Zach's POV~~~~~~~
I couldn't get her out of my head, she was amazing. Whenever I was feeling down or sad I would turn to music, but I was blocked. I hadn't seen Y/N in less than 24 hours and I barely saw her for 2 minutes before she left. I don't know why I'm so hung up on her. There is just something about her, her eyes, her hair, her laugh... just thinking about them had made me smile and jump for joy. I felt like a love sick puppy. And all I could think of was the amazing way her hair flowed and the mesmerizing way her eyes sparkled in wonder like they had never seen anything so beautiful... but I also couldn't stop thinking about how she shut down when I asked if she knew us, she got all jumpy and nervous, kind of scared even... I felt so protective over her and I shouldn't be, it's not my right, and it's not okay that I want to be there for her, she likes Daniel... I layed down on my bed with my guitar next to me. I looked at it and sat up, grabbed the guitar, and started playing around with different chords... I started the lyrics and got done with a couple lines and read it over... it was about Y/N, her eyes, and the way she was, I layed back on the bed and put the guitar on the stand next to my bed... All i could think about was her. but I had to remember. She likes Daniel, she likes Daniel...
~~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~~
Daniel just sent me a snap saying he is headed over and I am so excited!!! It's only 10:23 am. My dad told me that he will be home by dinner. And so Daniel and I can hang for a little bit. I walked into moms room and sat on the end of the bed. I looked at her sleeping... she looked so tired. She had heavy dark bags under her eyes and she was so pale. I reached over and grabbed her hand. I reached up and wiped a tear away from my face and stood to walk out of the room. I shut the door quietly behind me and I walked out. As I walked to the kitchen I felt the phone buzz in my back pocket. I looked at it and saw that I had a snap from Daniel. I opened it and looked at the goofy picture. I laughed and read the caption.  It read "be there in about 5" I snapped back a black picture saying ok and went upstairs to get into some more confortable clothes. He snapped me again as I got back to the kitchen with a picture of my door. I laughed and out the phone down. I walked over to the door and opened it.
Y: Daniel, you don't need to knock...
Before I could finish my sentence I looked at Daniel. And right next to him was Zach. I didn't know what to do so I panicked and shut the door. Right in their faces.
Daniel: Y/N are you okay?
I opened the door again and looked at Daniel.
Y: ya I'm fine.
I opened the door a little wider so they could come in.
Y: we just have to be quiet my mom is asleep in the other room.
They both nodded as they sat on the couch.
Daniel: Y/N you remember Zach...
I nodded my head and sat down across from them.
Y: So... can I have the phone then I guess...
Daniel: Oh ya... of course.
Daniel pulled out the phone and handed it to me and smiled.
Y: thank you so much.
I gave Daniel a hug.
I sat back down. Daniel stood up and started walking for the door...
Y: Daniel, where are you going?
Daniel stopped and turned around with a smirk on his face.
Daniel: just to get a drink from the kitchen.
He started walking again.
Y: uh Daniel...
he turned and looked at me.
Y: kitchens that way.
I said pointing to a door on the other side of the room.
Daniel nodded and walked out of the room.
Zach: so....
Y: so....
Zach: so this is weird and I don't know what to say or do... but I want to get to know you so tell me a little bit about yourself.
He looked at me eagerly and I smiled a little at his excitedness.
Y: well I am really into music and writing...
Zach: that's awesome... do you play any instruments?
I nodded.
Y: Guitar, piano, and I sing.
Zach nodded and came to sit on the couch next to me.
Zach: when did you start playing?
Y: piano since I was really little and I have had the guitar since I started piano just never used it because it was too big. Once I got big enough I started playing, that was about 4 years ago.
Zach: that's cool.
Y: Zach why are you here?
Zach blushed and looked down.
Zach: you really want to know?
he said while glancing at my lips.
I licked my lips, my mouth getting really dry all of the sudden and nodded my head yes.
Y: yes I want to know...
Zach: ok.... but be ready, it may come as a shock to you...
