Hugging Zach was amazing. I didn't want it to stop. He hugged me so tightly but so softly and gentle as if he didn't want to hurt me. It was perfect until...
Daniel: YOU HAVE WATERMELON!!!!!
Daniel ran into the room and saw us hugging. I jumped and moved to get away from Zach as fast as I could.
Daniel: oh sorry I didn't think that... I mean just... I'm gonna go.
He started walking out. Zach laughed and I turned redder than a cherry.
Zach: Daniel you can come back in we weren't doing anything but hugging.
He walked back in with his hand over his eyes.
Daniel: all I want to know is if you guys are done or if something else was about to happen.
I was mortified.
Zach: we were just hugging.
Daniel sighed and peeked through his fingers.
He put his head down.
Daniel: next time you guys go at it tell me or something. Anyways back to what I was going to say before I walked in on some things my eyes can not unsee. Can I have some watermelon?
Y: First of all. Nothing was going on, and second you can have some watermelon.
Daniel: Yes!!!
Daniel walked back into the kitchen.
Zach: Fun Fact, Daniel is obsessed with watermelon.
Y: I'll keep that in mind.
I stood up and walked into the kitchen. Daniel was sitting at the table eating the watermelon. I looked down at my watch, it's noon. Time to feed mom.
Y: hey Zach can you come here a sec. Daniel could you come over here?
Zach walked in and Daniel came over to where I was at.
Y: ok so here is the thing. I have to wake up my mom now and give her some food. I need both of you to be silent. Can you do that?
They both nodded. I went to the fridge and got some of the food I had already prepared out. I put it in a plate and made it look nice.
Y: ok i am gonna go in there and give her the food. I want both of you to follow me and I'll take you to my room first. Stay in there and be quiet until I come back. She can't hear you. Okay?
Daniel: okay.
Zach: what why can't she hear us?
I looked at Daniel.
Daniel: you want me to tell him or do you want to tell him?
Y: you can tell him while I am giving her food but only if he promises not to make a sound.
I looked at Zach.
Zach: ok i promise.
I lead them up the stairs and to my room. I opened the door and told them to be quiet. I walked down the stairs and grabbed they tray for my mom. I walked to her room and opened the door. I put the tray on the table and walked over to my mom.
Y: mom it's time for lunch.
I touched her arm a little.
Y: mom it's time to wake up.
She slowly opened her eyes and began yawning.
Mom: oh thank you sweetheart.
I smiled and got up to get the tray.
Y: here.
I put the trap on her lap. She started eating.
Y: I am gonna go up to my room, when you finish just put the tray on the other side and I'll come get in in about an hour.
Mom nodded while she ate and I left the room. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed 3 bottles of water. I was hoping Zach didn't overreact. I walked up the stairs and stood in front of the door to my room.

Y/N brought us up to her room and told us to be quiet then she walked out and shut the door. I started walking around the room looking at her stuff. She had a guitar, it looked well loved. She had a small piano in the corner and a stack of sheet music with writing all over it.
Daniel: Zach I think you should sit down for this.
I turned around and sat on the bed. I really didn't like where this could be going.
Zach: just tell me.
Daniel: this isn't a just tell me thing.
I swallowed hard. I didn't want anything to be wrong and I wanted Y/N to be okay.
Daniel: when she was really little her mom got sick. Her dad didn't take it so well. He didn't want to show his emotions around her mom because it would've just upset her mom more. So her dad took it out on Y/N. by making her stay inside the house and take care of her mom and by... hurting her.
I was in shock. I stood up and started pacing trying to figure out what he meant. But Daniel stopped me.
Daniel: sit back down in not finished.
I sat down and looked at him afraid of what was to come.
Daniel: that day jack saw her, he said that he had never seen someone who looked more curious and lost at the same time. She also looked a little scared so he went over to talk to her. I found out that she had been through stuff. Stuff that made her strong, stronger than you and I know. It made her who she is today. But the thing is, she only knows 7 people. The reason her mom can hear us is because her mom thinks that she has never been outside before. Her dad will hurt her if he finds out she left. So she can't have friends. The day she met us was the first day she had ever been outside of the house that's why she was so scared. That's why she hadn't heard of us as a band.
I sat there in shock. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. But I knew that I wasn't gonna leave her all alone to deal with it. I stood up and paced around the room. I sat back down and looked at Daniel.
Zach: you better not be joking man.
Daniel: I'm not.
Zach: She had never been out of the house before.
He nodded.
Zach: never had any friends.
He nodded.
Zach: her dad... hurts her her.
He nodded
Zach: Her dad Physically hurts her?
He nodded. 
Zach: I can't believe this.
Before I could say anything else the door nob started turning slowly. I got up from the bed and stood in front of the door. It opened and before she had a chance to realize what was happening I hugged her. I held her in my arms and I never wanted to let go. She slowly reached her arms around me.
Zach: I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry.
That's all I could say.
Y: it's okay Zach. I'm fine.
I let her out of my arms, but I held on firmly to her hands.
Zach: no it's not Y/N.
a small tear escaped from her eye. I caught it with my hand.
Zach: that is never and will never be okay.
