Fearful

Chapter 2

As we arrived to the school I looked all around it, and it was huge. It was honestly the most incredible building I had ever seen. The bus came to a stop and I jumped off, walking up to the schools front doors. I could hear teachers welcoming all the students as we walked in, except one thing seemed very off. The students all seemed kinda down, or afraid to be here. I mean obviously afraid since we are all afraid of our powers, but damn, it sure was depressing. 

I pulled out my schedule and walked to my first class of the day, math. Gladly all my classes are advanced, so that means my core classes are in the beginning of the day. I walked in and students were in groups chatting with each other, and getting ready for the class. I walked over to the back desks that were lined up, and went to the corner by the window. I plopped into the desk and got set up for the class. I felt a person peering over my shoulder at me. 

"Hiya," She said smiling over me. I smiled back.

"Hi, I'm Abby." 

"Sup Abby, I'm Riley." She plopped down into the seat behind me, and I turned to face her. "So what's your power?" She put her fist under her chin, and grinned. I shrugged my shoulders, 

"Well I have aqua-phobia, so I can create water thingys and can control water. What's yours?" I asked her, and her faced pruned. 

"I have acrophobia so I can levitate," she laughed, "Stupid, I know." I shook my head at her. 

"No that's kinda cool!" I said smiling. 

"Not when you're afraid of heights!" 

"Yooooooooooooooooooo" a girl with short red hair walked up to us and sat behind me. "Sup bitches I'm Courtney. I need friends so I'm sticking to you two for now on." She laughed and put her feet on her desk. "I know what you're gonna ask, 'Oh hehe what's your power?!' Well honey, I have astraphobia, and I can control the weather in the area of 100 feet." Riley 'oooooooo-ed' at her. We both told her our fears, and the teacher came into the class. 

"Welcome to the first day of school kiddos!" She picked up a dry erase marker and started talking about the new year.
