Hidden Identity (Attack on Titan Fanfiction)

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by Titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest Titans

Prologue

"But M-mother, you cannot possibly leave me! Please don't!" a young black haired girl cries, kneeling next to the weak figure whom lays in the midst of white sheets.

"My beautiful Elizabeth, do not fret.... remember that... I will al... I will always... be... with... you," the weak woman murmers, coughing up blood every now and then, staining the white sheets with red.

"But Mama..." the young girl cries, tears running forgotten down her face. Her odd blue and green colored eyes filled with sorrowful tears.

"Follow your dreams.... baby, remember.... I will... always love... you no matter... what... be a .... a good... good princess to our.... people... and protect them... protect them with all of your... your heart."

"Mama..."

"I... love... you, baby," the weak woman raises a weak hand up to cup her daughter's tear stained cheek, the sickly woman gives her daughter a loving smile and slowly closes her eyes, to never open them again...

"I... I love you too, mama..."
