Chapter II: Necklace

2 days earlier...

June 14, 2004 it was James 20th anniversary with his wife Melissa Holland. He woke up at 5:00a.m to make his wife's favorite breakfast (Pancakes with chocolate chip sprinkles on the top and raspberry/strawberry mix on the side) just after finishing cooking he light up her favorite candle with tropical smell and went to her room. (Turning up the light) he said: "Good morning sweetheart, time to wake up... here's your breakfast sweetie". She (surprised) said: "James... what did you do now?" "Please tell me you didn't spend all our savings on that boat you wanted!" James Respond: "No girl, today's our Anniversary; did you forgot?" Melissa (ashamed) said: "Sorry James I forgot... it's just that with all the things in work, Jennifer's volleyball practices and her bad school grades; it's just too much for my head" James respond: "Girl I know you have a lot of weight on your shoulders. That's why I'm going to take our little girl to school and talk to her about her grades. Today don't worry about that" "Also since is our anniversary I have something for you" Melissa responded: "Thank you so much sweetie" "ok so... what did you bring me?" James (taking out the gift) responded: "Here is my grandmother's Necklace. One of the most precious items she had. It's one of a kind" Melissa (was so happy she gave James a strong hug and a big kiss) saying: "I Love you". Suddenly Jennifer starts to scream: "Mom!!! Dad!!! I'm late; let's go". James (quickly says goodbye to Melissa and goes out of the room) saying: "let's go Jenny I will take you to school today". (Arriving to school) Jennifer asks James: "Hey dad, would you let me go to Christine's house for a sleep over this Thursday?" James Respond: "No, you need to improve your grades to get out. You know it's the rules" Jennifer (angry) replies: "Ok dad". She then got out of the car and when entering the school called her mysterious boyfriend saying: "My dad didn't let me out, I'll try convince my mother".
