Barbara's POV:
It's 7:30 and my dad just headed in for his night shift at work. Well now is the time when I will stand up and fight, for the safety of this town and my sanity. It's now or never. I feel nervous and sick to my stomach but I feel this way before a big exam so no biggie. Now's the time, my time.

I put on my new costume that I made all by my self. I didn't bleed out from all the times I stuck my self with a needle or a pin; so fighting bad guys should be easy, right?

As soon as I get it on I for some reason relax. It's tight but something about the breathable material against my skin is just so, easing. Next comes the cowel. Ugh, this part is less comfortable. It takes me about three minutes to get all my hair pulled through the back and it to sit level to my head, and also comfortably. I look at my self in the mirror my dark eyes, that I had colored in with eyeliner before putting on the mask, staring back at me. I no longer looked like me. I looked like I could save someone.

As I stood there, just staring for what felt like an eternity, which was really just two minutes. After that I pulled myself together and got down to business. I gave my self a 1 minute hype up, which for some reason actually worked for once.

I then climbed out the window of my 3rd floor apartment, turned around and almost closed it when I realized I already forgot something. My belt. This belt was bright yellow, matching the bat symbol on my chest, filled with all sorts of  "goodies". Most of the goodies I had confiscated from the evidence locker when dad wasn't looking. All from the forgotten section that they had once set aside for when they had yet to realize Batman was friend instead of foe. I had a grappling hook, which I have learned to master, and trust me it's hard to master something like that without drawing attention from the neighbors, smoke bomb, knockout gas, etc. Then also some tear gas that for some reason my dad had eight cans of in the medicine cabinet.

I once again climbed out my window, this time being positive I had everything. By now it's 8:10, nice and grey outside, the sky almost under complete night fall. I steadied my self on the fire escape for a second, just thinking about what I was about to venture into. After collecting myself I carefully aimed the grappling gun at the next door building and shot. Before I know it I'm soaring through the night, swinging from one building to the next.

I stop about a block away from where Batman and Robin should be. (Like I said previously, I've been watching them making a schedule following the patterns of where they patrol.) I just perch quietly on the top of the roof and wait.

I've now been waiting for forty minutes, nothing. The most interesting the I've seen is a drunk walking straight into, face-planting on the glass door of the convenient store across the street. Of course my first night out would be an uneventful one. Well I don't know maybe that isn't such a bad thing, easing me into it and all. Wait is that an alarm I hear!? Finally, action.

I don't know what I'm nervous about I'm the commissioner's daughter what do I have to worry about. I'm trained in the latest self defense tactics, I have all these good weapons, I'm healthy and I'm in good physical condition.

I grapple two buildings over, to the bank, which is also the source of the alarm.  I look down into the bank from the convenient skylight located on the roof. The lights are out, must have flipped the breaker, and it's night so as you can imagine it's a little dark in there. Just three women wearing ski masks, two with pistols, one with just a knife. I've taken down five men twice the size of these chicks back to back, and I have reflexes that will allow me to avoid getting shot, this won't even be a challenge.

I open the window on the skylight, that is for some stupid reason unlocked, and propel down the wall opposite the bank tellers who have the attention of all three of the purps. Man these girls are stupid. I wonder where Batman and Robin are, not that I can't handle this alone, but just because they were supposed to be patrolling in the area.
