Barbara's POV:
Well when I was six my mom left me and my brother with my dad and we never heard from her since. But now I'm sixteen, in the last nine weeks of my Junior year at Gotham High and so much has happened since then.
Richard Greyson, my best friend. We've known each other since 3rd grade. He might have had to save my lunch for me from a bully. He's truly has been what people might call their rock or foot hold. He's really been there for me. In grades 6th through now we've hung out, watched movies, and other stuff. Most importantly we kept each other from going insane at Galas and Balls that we are drug to by our parents; Dick by Bruce and me by my dad, the Commissioner, Jim Gordon.
This past summer I got a job at the Gotham Library. I was finishing putting up the books that had been checked in that day and my brother had come to pick me up. He was waiting at my desk when I came back there was an arm around my neck and everything went black and I was the last person to see my brother. Dick was there for me once again to console me. They caught his kidnapper but he wouldn't break. He said it wasn't right that my dad could judge people so prepare for more revenge from Gotham's people.
Even though being quite scarred by the incident I still work there. Every time I walk to the desk, I just see him, standing there, patiently waiting. I'm sick and tired of letting things like this fall by the way side. Being the Commissioner's daughter I have a hunger for justice. And I have to get involved in it some way. But I've decided it will be on my terms.
In Gotham we have these Caped Crusader's. Some call them vigilantes, I call them hero's. Their names are Batman and Robin. Robin I imagine is close to my age, a teenager of some sort anyhow, and Batman must be in his late 20s, early 30s, something like that. They go out every night fight the bad guys of this crime stricken city.
They must put something in the water here I swear. We have all sorts of lunatics. One that dresses like a clown, another that waddles like a penguin, and another that leaves a riddle at every crime scene, need I continue? I'm sick of just watching them all just run loose. I am taking matters into my own hands. Following in the footsteps of Batman and Robin I have created my own caped costume. To strike fear in my new found enemies I have decided to take up a beautiful insignia, Batman's symbol.
I know what you're thinking, that I'm crazy, but , a. Everyone in this damn town is and b. What's the worst that could happen? I've been watching Batman and Robin for three months now, where they patrol, when. I'll make sure I'm close by so if it ever gets too much to handle they can be there to help me.
Dick is always there for me. He is a true Romeo. But I can't just be some damsel in distress, I love him so much, but I can't let him fight my battles forever, like I said he's been doing it since 3rd grade. Though he is the sweetest, kindest, most handsome boy I've ever met.
