A/N:

(Y/h) = your name
(Y/h/c) = your home country

May 12 - 10:40 pm

The atmosphere was awkward and heavy making the tension unbearable for you. Well, you are just worried. You felt like you stepped on a landmine. A dangerous one. But then, you braced yourself and waited patiently for his reply on the phone.

Just when you inhaled deeply, the person spoke.

"(Y/n)," he murmured. "I... I... I don't know. It has been a year since I moved from them. Maybe they are very happy now because they don't have to worry and be sick of my violence."

"Daichi," you cooed. "They will be more happy when they see you are doing fine."

"How can you say that?", he questioned. His tone changed. So is your feelings inside. Things are starting to heat up. You wanted to avoid it. But, we know things does not go in our way. It is not easy to control ourselves from anger especially when things about us are involved. "Why did they kicked me out of the house? It is all because of my habit of sleepwalking and destructiveness! Why are they going to be happy to s-."

"It's because they couldn't do anything to cure your pain and they don't want to watch you suffer! How many times do I have to tell you that?", your voice thundered your bedroom. Suddenly, someone knocked on your door and when the person entered, it's your Mom. "Anything alright, deary?"

"Uh yeah, Mom," you nodded and let out a sigh. "I'm just... you know, Mom."

"Do you really have to raise your voice?", your Mom raised her eyebrow. You frowned and pointed to your right side where Daichi resides. But, she is not convinced. Your Mom crossed her arms telling you that shouting at the phone is not okay. So, you apologized to her. "Remember, you're not the only one in this house."

You sighed in agreement and she left your room. You breathed in and exhaled a few times to collect yourself. You did not mean to explode like that.

"Sorry Daichi," you whispered. "I didn't mean that."

And immediately, there was an excruciating silence.

You and Daichi had been friends ever since both of you were in kindergarten. Among all of your classmates, you are the only person whom Daichi approached. Whenever he has a problem, he comes to you right away and asks for your help. He could not ask his parents because they are busy with work. Until today, he does it. Though there are times he hides his problem from you, you could see right through his actions, tone, and everything.

To him, you are someone very close to his heart.

Right now, you are the only one whom Daichi could truly open up with. Sure he could tell it with Sora and others. But, he felt more safe sharing to you his personal concerns and struggles. That is if he should go back to his parents this Mother's Day or wait for the right time. In your opinion, visiting them on Mother's Day would be better than later. You do not want to see him feeling tortured whenever the past reminds him. So, you thought that this is an opportunity to do so. And yeah, it went through a bumpy ride earlier. Despite of it, you two are still sticking together and trying to understand each other.

"Daichi, I know it's difficult but you have to. It's not your fault that you have that condition before. Oh, wait! I'll accompany you when you visit them. And don't worry, Mom and Dad are going back to the (y/h/c) tomorrow early in the morning."

"(Y/n), thanks for helping me still, it will not work."

"How can you say that when you haven't done it?", you stood up from where you were sitting and looked out on the window. You turned and saw the place where your best friend is living in. It was at the end of the building. All of the lights were turned off. The curtains were opened. It seems that the lil' baku of the house is already inside waiting for his loved one to sleep so he could chomp away all of his nightmares.
