Slowly opening my eyes I take a look around the room. Realizing it was my own I calm down the panic I can feel building. Snuggling back into the bed I realize I can feel arms wrapped around my waist. Snapping my head up I look to see my gorgeous neighbor. Instead of the panic I expected I feel a calmness, a certain peace that I had always been missing. Something I had been yearning for subconsciously. Turning my body I lay back down but face to face with the sleeping man. I can see the stubble across his jaw from not shaving in the last day or so. His dark caramel skin is glowing from the beams of sunlight pouring through the window. He has random crease marks on his exposed flesh and his face is lax in sleep. Dragging my eyes further down I stifle a groan and bite my bottom lip. His chest is bare and his dark jeans he was wearing last night hang low on his hips. The deep grooves of his muscles curve into the delicious "v" women speak so highly of.
"My eyes are up here gorgeous." His growling voice has my wandering eyes snapping back to meet his pale blue ones.
"Uh...I...I" His callused finger presses against my lips pausing my stuttered words. A blush climbs up my neck and fills my cheeks.
"I wasn't picking on ya baby. Just letting you know I was awake." While speaking he takes his finger from my lip and caresses my cheek as gently as you would a baby. Biting my lip I give him a small smile and a nod.
"You are so beautiful." His voice is filled with awe and passion causing the blood to rush back into my cheeks.
"Um...I'm going to go make some breakfast and take a shower. Shower first I think." Scooting away from him on the bed I look down to see that I'm wearing his shirt.
Flashes from last night burst behind my eyes and without knowing it I let a moan slip from my lips. A deep growling noise has my eyes popping open and meeting those gorgeous eyes that were light blue. Now they are swimming in silver causing heat to spear my body again. "Oh." Falls from my lips without my permission.
"How about you hop in the shower and I get to work on breakfast." The meaning behind the comment isn't lost on me, nor is the growl that is still in his voice.
Biting my lip I nod before turning around and heading toward the closet. Snatching the first things I can reach I speed through the bedroom. Chancing a glance as I speed through shock reverberates through me when I see he isn't in the room any longer. Frowning I slow my pace and look around wondering how he moved so quickly and quietly. Shaking my head I push back my confusion and head to the shower.
Slipping out of my clothes I quickly hop in the shower and sigh as the hot water begins to work out the tension from my body. Feeling the water fall across my sensitive skin has a moan falling from my lips. Running my hands over my body I try to hurry through my shower so I can help him get all the cooking done. Jumping back out of the shower I flick my hair over my shoulder after drying it. Going over to the mirror I use my towel as I wipe across it to be able to see through all the steam that has taken over. Taking in my naked form I smile a little when I see my various tattoos.
Turning away I pick up my clothes where I tossed them carelessly in the floor by the shower door. Rolling my eyes at the clothes I picked in a hurry I quickly dress knowing that I need to get downstairs. Slipping on the tiny shorts and the spaghetti strap shirt I turn back towards the mirror. Groaning I brush my hair and put it in a quick bun on top of my head. This will keep my hair out of my way and out of the food. There's almost nothing more disgusting than finding a hair in your food that doesn't belong to you.
Walking from the bathroom I see a leather jacket catch my eye on the floor. Picking it up I hang it on the door knob of my open closet. Heading out of the room I make my way down the hall and toward the kitchen. Stopping by my boys room I see it empty causing a frown to grace my lips. Turning the corner into the kitchen I can barely hold in my laughter as I see both my babies watching a certain guy bustle around the kitchen. They are probably confused at the sight as they have neither seen a guy in our home before nor have they ever seen someone cook like he does.
