The sound of computer keys clicking is slowly driving me mad. That coupled with the clock aimlessly ticking on the wall next to the door.
Three more minutes that's all. We can last that long. Right?
I look out the smudged window to the left of me and see the sun brightly glaring off the cars. One in particular catches my eye.
The charcoal grey sports car that is parked exactly 7 parking spaces to the right of my crapy old white car. Its not so much the car itself that interests me. Its the guy who drives it.
"The assignment will be due on Thursday so be sure to look at its requitments before turning it in." I faintly hear the teacher say to the class as I look up to the clock again.
Less then a minute now.
Jesus, calm down, kid.
As the final bell rings, all the the students get up and head for the door. However, one head of soft blonde hair catches my eye in particular, as he all but skips out of the class.
I trudge out of the class to my locker with my head phones on full blast to mute the annoying students that line the hall.
I let out a sigh when I finally get my locker, and open it so I can drop the heavy text books.
And that's when I hits me.
The familiar smell of rich coffee with oranges and cinnamon.
Mate!
I pull the sleeve of my sweatshirt up to my nose to try and diminish the heavenly smell but it doesn't work.
Nothing ever does.
I can feel my wolf trying to take over as they get closer, and I look up to catch a glimpse of the same blonde hair from earlier tucked under the arm of a taller man with a strong build and thick black hair.
And they walk right by me.
I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and rest my head against my locker in relief.
My wolf lets out a pained, desperate cry but there's nothing I can do.
I can not let them know I'm their beta.
