I wake up some time later to a clatter of pots and pans from the kitchen and the song smell of oranges surrounding me. I slowly open my eyes to see that Jimin is still tucked in my arms breathing softly and my nose is burried in his hair.
God he smells so good. I could stay here all day. It reminds me of all the times he and Jungkook would walk by me in the hallway and it would take everything in me not to follow behind them to be able to smell their scents just bit longer.
Then the rattle of pots and pans comes again from the kitchen and I'm reminded of another thing.
Jungkook.
The second I think about him it get a sense of what he's feeling too, and it's not good. It's like a mix of frustration and self criticism. Because of this I decide to get up out of the omega's grasp and head to the kitchen.
Standing by the stove, Jungkook is looking down at his phone with his eye brows pinched. There are bowls and pans and random articles of food all over the counters. It's quite literally a mess which is surprising considering the rest of the house seems perfectly, well perfect.
The alpha hadn't noticed me yet which is strange but in his obvious frustration I guess it could be normal. When Jungkook runs a hand through his hair and looks like he's about to throw his phone at the wall I decide it's time to step in.
I walk towards the tall man and reach out to rest a hand on his should, knowing that if his touch can calm me down then mine should do the same for him. However, at first it seems to have the opposite effect and he flinches and jumps alittle before looking at me.
"Shit. I didn't see you there, Tae." He says in a short breath. "Did I wake you?"
"No," I lied. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. "Just came to see what you were up to."
"Oh. Umm, well I was trying to make dinner since it's about that time, but I think I'm just going to order something instead." He said with a defeated look.
"You know I could help you, if you want?" I ask seeing his eyes spark in interest. "I'm a pretty good cook."
"Really?" Jungkook asked looking relieved, "that would be great!"
"What were you trying to make?" I ask looking at his phone where he has the recipe pulled up on a cooking website.
"It looked easy," was all he said.
"This will be great! Where do you guys keep your flour?" I ask.
The recipe was like a chicken pot pie casserole. Its alot like something I used to make with dad all the time.
As jungkook went to get the flour, I grabed one of the pans and other ingredients I would need.
"Here," jungkook said as he placed the flour on the counter, and I got to work.
I know I said I would help Jungkook make dinner but it would just be easier to do it myself. Plus, making dinner for my own mates doesn't feel so much like a chore as it did back home.
"You are really good at cooking," the alpha mused about half way though the cooking process, "did your dad teach you?" He asked leaning on the counter.
"Yeah, we used to cook dinner for our family every night, and have it ready by the time everyone was home." I replied, looking up so see him watching my hands as they cut up a few carrots.
"Hmm, that's really sweet of you," he hummed, and looked up at me.
"Yeah, well not like I had much of a choice." I gave a humorless laugh, causing Jungkook to growl lowly for a second.
