I woke up one night to the sound of rain, pounding on my small wood rimmed window.

I was currently living under unstable conditions, due to me losing my old home caused by a fire. My home was now a small apartment,1 bedroom 1 bath, in a run-down neighborhood. The trees whipped back and forth in the cascading rain, as I tossed and turned trying to get comfy. I had lost my parents in a train accident 10 years ago, as well as my close sister. The incident drove me to investigate in the paranormal, trying to see if I would communicate with them. I was a huge geek for any video game, anime, or manga ever since I was a child. I'd always dreamt that I would find a person, that would share my interests. Sadly 10 years later, I had found no one of the such.

Soon, I found myself drifting back asleep, to the sound of rain pounding, on my wood rimmed window.

My alarm blared at me, I looked over and read the time, 4:00 am. I groaned and turned off the alarm, but yet again it blared, the time reading 4:30 am. I was so tired I wanted to smash my phone on the ground. I unlocked the phone and turned off any alarm I had, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 am. I pondered for a moment, wondering why every half an hour, there was an alarm. I set them all to 'off ' as I drifted away in a heavy slumber.

I woke up once more to my phone alarm blaring the time 5:00 am. Once again I picked up my phone, looked at all of the alarms, to find that they were all set to 'on '. I started to get pissed off, who would be doing this? Who in the right mind, at 5:00 in the morning, would just turn on alarms for every half an hour? I decided to shut off my phone and go back to sleep, but just as I began to feel tired, there was a sudden creek coming from my bedroom door.

My body practically teleported to the door, violently opening it, to find no one was on the other side. I sighed, knowing I was just being paranoid. I probably left a window open or something. As soon as I re-entered a room, another door slammed open, making me run towards the opened door.

As I ran down the hall, I heard my bedroom door shut, and other doors opened. My heart was practically out of my chest, as I reached the closet door. As soon as I looked through the door, it slammed shut, waking me from my immense dream.

I gasped for air, grasping my sheets. Looking around frantically,' It was a dream?' I thought as I let go of the crimson sheets. As I got up, I grabbed my phone, looking at the time. 10:30, 'Slept in'. I unlocked the phone, clicking on my alarm app, seeing all of the same alarms. 'What the hell?' Luckily, they were turned off. The rest of the day I was quite paranoid.
