Chapter 2 | The past

      It was prom night. I was getting ready to put on my suit. I started to fix my hair. I was ready t o ask Catherine out. I was about to head to the car,  my mom was asking for pictures, so I took pictures, after all it is a big day. I went inside the car as my dad started the engine I started to practice what to say to Catherine.

      I arrived at the venue and saw Catherine taking pictures with her friends, Ivy and Adrianna underneath the 'Prom' sign. I got out of the car. As soon as I saw Catherine I was already ready to give her the flower but I looked back to my dad and smiled. I took a turned around and I walked up those red carpeted stairs. As soon as I was about to reach Catherine's level on the stairs, Jacob came in, they kissed as if I wasn't there and walking in the venue. "Catherine..." I said desperately, about to cry.

                                                                                Present Time
"Catherine!" I yelled. "Where's my coffee?"
"It's right here sir. I mean Joseph."
"Sir... Did u go to Golden high?"
"Yes why?"
"I think I graduated with you."
"Ahhh yess.. Catherine Clark? How come you never mentioned anything. Joseph Thompson. Remember me?"
"Yes."
That's why he reminded me of Joseph because he is Joseph. I hope he would forgive me for ignoring him. Adrianna told me that he went off to prom with Adrianna because I ignored him. I did had a tiny crush on him.

5 hours later ..... 10:00pm

"Catherine you could go home now. It's getting late. See you tomorrow."
"Thanks Joseph."
She started walking away from the office while Jacob was waiting for her in front of her office. She always looked hot in those black leggings. I started working again but I couldn't resist not texting her. I searched through h er resume for her number.. Once I finally found her number I immediately texted her.
