Dick became worried when he got a call from Batman during the day. He told him to come to the Batcave immediately. They only went out on patrol at night so something really bad must have been happening.
Robin was at the cave within minutes "What's wrong?!" he ran over to Batman and quickly started talking.
Batman just blinked "Nothing's wrong." Robin just stared at him. "I needed to talk to you about something."
"Ok..." Robin sat down in a seat across from him. Agent A came down the stairs and stood next to Batman.
Batman looked to Agent A who nodded. He sighed "The Justice League found out that I don't know your identity." Robin immediately started panicking. Batman noticed "Just hold on a second before you freak out. It took some convincing from Black Canary and I but we were able to convince them that you were trust worthy. You're still allowed to be on the team and you don't have to worry about the identity forms anymore."
Robin was happy about all out that but something was bugging him "Black Canary helped you?"
He nodded "She admitted that she and Megan knew your identity and that you were trust worthy. But that is all she told us don't worry."
Robin nodded "Sounds like everything turned out well."
"Yes it did." Batman agreed "But still be cautious. The League might agree that you are trust worthy, but some still don't like that fact that they don't know who you are. God knows this whole 'mole' business isn't helping anything. Just be careful."
"I will." Robin assured.
Batman smiled. He wanted to tell him his identity right now. But was now the right time? How would he know when the right time was? Would Robin trust him with his identity if he told him his? That was just a risk he would have to take. But not right now...
~time skip~
That night the Dynamic Duo got a call from Commissioner Gordon. He said that the police had just received a note from the Riddler. They immediately went to the police station to talk to the commissioner.
"This is the message we received." Gordon handed Batman a piece of paper.
Robin stood on the tips of his toes so that he could see the note as Batman read it aloud. "It says 'I am young while I'm young and short when I'm old. What am I?' That's easy."
"It's a candle." Jim confirmed. "The boys and I thought the same thing when we read it. Usually the Riddler's clues are a bit more challenging."
Robin chuckled "He must be slipping up."
"No that's not it..." Batman continued to examine the note. "The Gotham Wax Museum as just added a new exhibit. A model of the Queen of England wearing the crown jewels. They have used real diamonds in the replica."
"Then that must be it!" Gordon said excited "Candles are made of wax after all. I'll send a squad out immediately!"
"Hold on." Batman stopped him "That's too easy. I believe the Riddler wants us to go to the wax museum. But I believe he's trying to send us on a wild goose chase." Batman took a lighter out of his utility belt. He held the flame under the page and words started to appear.
"Holy invisible ink Batman!" Batman and the Commissioner looked at him confused "Sorry. That was dumb. Please continue."
Batman read the new riddle. "It says 'I travel around the world but I always stay in my corner. What am I?'"
"Hmm..." Jim scratched his chin "That one's a bit tougher..."
Robin nodded "Lots of things can travel the world. But what can stay in a corner while doing it?"
