This is a story about how I campaigned to win the presidential nomination of the Democratic Party, then the gruesome fight for the presidential nomination. It highlights the experiences I had campaigning and my battles with Walter MacAvoy. In 1978 I first talked of the idea of running with my wife Mikayla, she was my strongest and most effective supporter throughout this time. In 1979 I officially announced. In 1980 we had some tough battles against John McDee for the democrat nominee. This is the personal account of my experiences and my personal feelings on issues and the people I met.
