The Secret Prisoner

Chapter 6

I think Mr. Pete did come in, but then again I didn't wake up. When I did wake up I was late for class. I ran down the hallway trying to be on time, but I was already late so running didn't help. When I got to class Mrs. Futch was there and said "Mabye  I should turn you in to a rabbit. Mabye then you would be on time. Sit down Mr. Smith." Man that woman was scary, so I sat down in the closet chair to me. Which happened to be by Angel. She looked at me and we whispered "You weren't to late we were just talking about the rules." In Mrs. Futch's class we learned about the history of wizards and rules. I found the part about the Smith's family interesting, because I am part of that family. I learned that there was a man after us and that man was Nightmare Pete. I also learned when I was a baby he came into my room. Tried to kill me with a spell, but it just hit my eye so it didn't work. He told me that he would know where I was at all times. I thought that was really creepy having a guy that I didn't know. Know what I am doing at all times and where I was. I was talking to Angel during class a lot, so I think that is why I didn't fall asleep. My next class was science, so I thought that there would be explosions. Which I was right, but it was not me it was Daniel Williams. He looked like a nice guy, so after class I went to go talk to him. It turns out that he was a good friend, but I didn't trust him enough to tell him about the secret yet. We went to another class and I was sitting in the middle of Angel and Daniel. We we're learn about magic, but the problem was I didn't have a wand. I had to just watch will they did the spells.  Then we went to lunch it looked just like it did at supper, but there was different varieties of foods. After lunch Angel, Daniel, and me went to the little town by our school. They went to go look around and I went to get a wand. When I walked in I smelled a smell like when you go into a antic store. A woman walked to me and said " So you're looking for a wand. Am I right?" I said "Yes mam I need one for school." She looked into my eyes and said "I think I know the right wand  for you." She pulled out a dark red looking case and said " This is made with a unicorn's horn and the soul of a Echidna. Half snake, wing of a dragon, and half lion. This is a powerful wand. Take it and give it a swish." Then I did as I was told and I accidentally blow up a shelf of wands. She said "O my goodness that is not the right one. Let me find a different one. This one is made from a warewolf's claw and a soul of a phoenix. Maybe try to make it hover."  This time I blew up a lamp. The woman said "Nope. I wonder if this is your wand. It is a secret ingredients and I don't even know what is in it."  I was a little scared to do it but I gave it a flick. The difference was it started to glow and float to the ceiling. I caught it and holded on tightly to it. The women said "That is the one. Did you know that has a sister. It was owned by your worst enemy and now it might be used against you. It also gave you that scared on your eye." That kind of scared me. I asked her we're I could get my books and other things.
