Chapter 14

I plopped down in my comfy chair by the window. I was so worried about going to work. I started to get all sorts of notions in my head. Like what if he did like me or what if he fired me because I was dating his daughter. I fell asleep in my "lazy chair" next thing I knew I about to be late for my first day at work. I was so surprised that I sleeped all day. That wouldn't be great first impression for my boss. I quickly got ready in about ten minutes. Daniel came in right when I was about to walk out the door. He said "I bet you are going to be late." That is all I heard because I quickly said "No time to talk I got to get going." While I was running down the hall I was tying my shoelaces on both feet. It's a challenge but you get used to after awhile. I was wearing my nice suit that I bought a few days ago. It was all black like my dance suit but I had a red tie not a black one. I was on time for once I was exhausted from running. When I stepped in he said "Well aren't you dressed nicely." At first I didn't see him until he came out from behind the shelves. Then he asked me if I was going to buy a wand. I kind of laughed and said "No I am Tommy the person you talked to on the phone." He looked at me for awhile. After like four minutes I asked "If I was not dressed appropriately for work." Then I thought why would I not dressed appropriately because he was wear a suit too. He said no and then said something under his breath. I heard what he said but I don't think he wanted me to hear him. He said "This is a guy I would like my daughter dating." That boosted my confidence a lot because now I knew he would like me to date her. Little did I know that wasn't all he said. He showed me around that small work area. I was apparently going to be at the front desk. All I do is watch what he did and if he asked for something get it for him. I was there for about eight hours. Then went to my dorm to get the homework I didn't do after school done. After that I went to bed and this time I fell asleep right away. The weird thing was that night I had a different dream then the one I have been having. It was Angel, Daniel, and me in Court. We were getting blamed for something and there was a jury. When I woke up I thought of a saying from Wizard of Oz. I was thinking about the time when she wakes and says "I had the weirdest dream. All you were in it. You were there and you were there." At least that is the way I remembered her saying it. I watched it so much with my little sister that I can almost quote it line by line. Key word almost so I might of gotten it wrong. I went to one of my classes and there was a weird lady telling people their future. Like the ones at circuses that only tell you what you wanted to know. I mean it is so easy I could even do it. Here let me try "You will have a great future but if you break a mirror on your 15th birthday you will be cursed forever." I think did a great job a ting like them. Just then the women stopped give her future nonsense to someone and came to me. She said with a very concerned and serious face "What I am doing is not a hox. The spirits are very mad at you for saying that about them." The weird thing is I didn't say anything so she must been the real thing or she was just saying that to scare me.
