Michael finally made up his mind. He was going to visit his little brother. He prepared himself for yelling, shouting, and, if it came to it, a bloody fight.
He waited until Lucifer was walking around a field. He had been exploring the area around the bunker while Piper was at school, and he was impressed with what he saw. It was calming. He soon heard a footstep behind him and turned, seeing Michael, his older brother.
To Michael's complete surprise, Lucifer didn't try to hurt him, or yell, or do anything. He simply casted his gaze to the ground and scuffed his shoes on the dirt. "What do you want? You can't throw me back in Hell now. Dad'll just pull me out," Lucifer said.
"I wanted to see you in kiddie form myself," Michael snickered, ruffling a hand through Lucifer's hair. The boy growled and pushed him away.
"I'm not in 'kiddie form'. I'm just a little younger. I'm still me," Lucifer said proudly, unconsciously standing on his tiptoes to match Michael. Michael snickered and put his hand back down on his little bro's head, pushing him to his normal height.
"You're not as tall as me anymore, Luce," Michael said with a snicker.
"And I'm not as big of an asshole either," he said with crossed arms. Lucifer wasn't mad at his brother anymore. He was just stubborn. One apology and he would be right back in his big brother's arms, because if being younger changed one thing in him, it was his love and adoration for Michael.
Michael sighed. "I'm sorry, little brother," he said softly, meeting the kid's eyes. Before he could think, a smaller body crashed into him and a pair of arms wrapped around his waist. "Lucifer?" He asked, in shock.
"That's all I wanted," he mumbled into Michael's shirt, keeping his face hidden in his older brother's chest. "I missed you... Pl-please don't send me back..." Lucifer begged. Michael felt warm droplets on his shirt and his heart shattered.
Lucifer was crying.
Michael rubbed Lucifer's back, holding him to his chest. "Don't worry, Luci. I'm gonna make sure you never have to go back," he said, kissing Lucifer's hair. Lucifer shook with pure fear and let tears drip from his eyes as he hugged his big brother. "I love you Lucifer. I love you so much. Shh, shh, don't cry," Michael soothed, rubbing his back to try to calm him down. "Come on, I'll bring you up to Heaven. Shh," he promised, sitting down so that Lucifer could cuddle into him. That's exactly what the little devil did. He snuggled up to Michael before resting his head on his chest. He eventually calmed down and Michael began to gently stroke his smaller brother's wings, getting a purr of pleasure.
After Lucifer calmed down completely, Michael stood up, setting Lucifer on his feet. "What'd'ya say we head up to Heaven? Just you and me, Luci," he offered, smiling at him.
"Whatever you say, Mikey," Lucifer said. "But you have to give me permission to go in. They won't let me go in unless you say so."
Michael closed his eyes for a minute before smiling. "You're free to roam Heaven," he said. Lucifer smiled brightly and even bounced a little on his toes. "Don't take off just yet, little one. You've got to let me escort you in."
Lucifer blushed from his brother's teasing tone. "Shut up," he mumbled. Then he wrapped his arms around Michael, letting his big brother take off with him. They arrived in Heaven and Lucifer rolled to the ground, tumbling and accidently hitting himself with his wings. He stood up. "Ouch," he said, rubbing his butt. He was now in Heavenly wear, which was a white pair of loose pants and a tank top like shirt. His wings were crumbled up behind him, nearly destroyed completely from Hell. Michael noticed this and healed them best he could, clearing the dried blood and closing all the wounds. He even replaced the feathers he could. When he was finished, they were always good as new. Lucifer gave a strong wing flap and his feet rose from the ground. "Hell yeah!" He grinned. A hand clasped around his bare ankle and pulled him down. "Mikey you're no fun."
"Welcome back to Heaven, Luce," he chuckled. A group of fledglings being chased by Raphael ran past them, and the older angel paused to catch his breath and talk with his brothers.
Raphael looked Lucifer up and down. "So Dad wasn't joking," he said. Lucifer glared at him, but he was just too cute to scare the healer angel. Raphael pulled Lucifer to him with one arm, ruffling his hair with the other. "Hey there, little brother!" He snickered. Lucifer shrieked and pushed against his arm.
"Raphael!"
"Lucifer!"
"Let go!"
"Hell no!"
Lucifer had to giggle a bit at the rhyme and it was music to the archangels' ears. "That was pretty clever, huh Luce?" Raphael snickered, releasing Lucifer. The smaller archangel stood up and pushed a hand through his hair.
"That was mean," Lucifer pouted, crossing his arms. Michael laughed.
"You think that is mean? Just wait, little one," Michael said, ruffling his hair affectionately with one hand and starting off. "I've gotta talk with Father. Keep an eye on him, Raph!"
"I don't need a babysitter!" Lucifer cried, rather childishly. Raphael and Lucifer began to walk through Heaven to refresh Lucifer's memory. Uriel saw them and jumped beside Raphael, his favorite big brother.
"Hey Raphy!" Uriel grinned. Then he patted Lucifer's head. "And hey little Luce," he snickered. Lucifer blushed. The only one who could ever get away with calling him that when he was older was Michael, but now that he was little he had to take the playful nicknames.
"I'm not little! Don't call me that!" Lucifer cried, glaring up at his big brothers. They both laughed and Raphael teasingly wiggled his fingers in Lucifer's stomach, getting a soft squeal and bursts of giggles from the devil.
"I don't know, Lucifer, you're pretty little to me," Raphael snickered. "Why don't you go with Hannah? Her and some of the others are going to be wrestling. Uriel and I gotta start making dinner."
"Fine," Lucifer said. Raphael kissed his head.
"Thanks lil guy. Love ya," he whispered to him before he and Uriel flew off, Uriel trying to race his brother but Raphael easily staying only a couple inches in front of him.
Lucifer flew over to the others, landing beside his sister. "Hi Hannah," he said. Hannah was surprised with how young her once older brother was.
"Hey Luce... What the heck happened to you?" she asked.
Lucifer blushed a bit. "Dad deaged me to make me into a better angel or something."
Zacariah laughed. "Aww, does wittle wuci need Daddy to fix his problems? Haha- OW!" Zacariah yelped when Angela sent a flying punch to his nose.
"Does little Zacariah need a lesson beat into him?" She growled. Zacariah held onto his nose, which was bleeding.
Joshua wrapped an arm around Lucifer's shoulders. "Don't worry about him, Luci," he said when he saw the ashamed look on the younger angels face. Lucifer just tensed and looked up to the larger angels.
"I do believe I'm needed on Earth," he said before giving a strong wing flap and disappearing from the group. Everyone looked at Zacariah, pissed off that he had bullied the already unstable angel.
"Look what you did!"
Just a chapter for my angel family. There will be a sequel to this, I promise. Let me know if you dont want one, though!
