I'm not one to put ANs where they are not necessary but I think a short disclaimer is needed. All rights for the original story goes to its original writers.

CNO (The Crookback of New Orleans) is the first installment of a series I'm working on, similar to that of Alex Flinn, Beastly, Cloaked, etc. It is not the same thing! These are going to be darker twists on the stories we all know and love.

In case you haven't guessed, CNO is a loose and much darker adaptation of Hunchback of Notre Dame. That was my favorite Disney movie growing up, so I've decided to use it as the beginning story. My religious and moral beliefs are NOT reflected in this novel. It is also a work of FICTION, all the facts are not completely accurate.

For those of you who are extremely familiar with Hunchback of Notre Dame, I'd like to assure you that our Quasimodo is named Claude in this novel, but he has and will have no relation with Claude Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame. This a modern adaptation and I feel like the character types presented are pushing it as is, having names like Frollo, Esmeralda, and Quasimodo would not only have too much correlation with Hunchback, but also wouldn't exactly fit in in modern day New Orleans. I chose New Orleans for a reason, as well. It will be obvious later.

NOTE: This story is rated PG-13, for the reason of language and violence. I believe that the rating is pretty reasonable. If anyone thinks that the rating should be raised, feel free to PM me. I won't lower it because I think it's darker nature is too much for kids younger than 13. I have an 11 year old sister who I wouldn't want to read it, hence what I'm basing my opinion off of. I'm not your mom. I can't tell you what not to read, but I want to make sure everyone know that this is a story of a crazy, abusive priest. Misconstrued understandings of the Bible, lust, and other dark themes.

I'm pretty sure I repeated myself multitple times, so I really don't want to recieve flames if it gets intense. I don't believe that the violence of language is too extreme, but I was raised reading dark work, so I could be jaded.

I also won't beg for reviews or votes, or childishly threaten to withhold chapters. They are greatly appreciated and help me understand what you, as a reader wants more or less of. I will try to respond as often as possible.
