Hard wooden floors beneath bit into the soles of the worn leather boots, smells of salt water and rotten fruit filled the nostrils of the adventurous soul. Tracing his hand against the body of the ship, every crack and flaking paint dragging against his rough worn skin, worn out from days of endless work in the guarding sun as it blared its heat onto their backs like a weight of a ton of stone.

It was then when the sky turned from a rich blue into a dark troublesome blackness, the wind blew bitter sweet whispers into the men on board; biting as it whipped past them at great speed. Thunder cracked showing its presence in the darkened display, lightening tore across the sky in icicles of electricity sharper and closer every time it cracked.  The mist rolled in like the tide, clouds covered the sky making it like the night, men quivered in fright and at the nip of the bitter air as it turned their hairs to stand to attention.

It was then the sound of boots echoed around the men, the ships sails flapped in the wind causing a noise like a thousand fluttering butterflies, still the thunder cracked and the sea slapped against the ship causing quite a stir. Whispers travelled around deck, a myth, a legend, some asking what the noise was, others already hiding from knowing the outcome. The mist made its entrance onto the deck just as the boots got louder and louder, it was then She appeared...

A vision of smoke and death, a slash of red around her waist. A blouse of off white flowed over her chest until it reached her waist where it met the scarlet sash and a skirt as black as octopus ink fluttered like the sails above in the bitter wind; coils of black hair tumbled down her back all the way to the bottom of her back, moving here and there like the hand of a compass. A smirk of wickedness was painted onto her face, eyes of piercing grey observed the crew on deck, as stiff as a ghost and as chilling. She sniffed the air and her smile grew more, "Don't you love the smell of fear and how it feeds you're soul. Think its time to eat, I've worked up quite an appetite", her voice a shrill of a thousand Sirens as they fed on their prey. Quick as lightening she lunged at the nearest man grabbing him by the throat, she brought him close to her and opened her mouth wide. It was then that the sailors saw her for who she really was, she was the demon that fed on fears and the soul, torturing her soul into more fear. As quick as she had lunged she threw the man to the floor a look of horror concreted on his face forever, his lifeless eyes for ever open looking into the Abyss. A look of horror and disgust passed itself around the deck, masking the crew members as the Pirate Queen licks her lips with pleasure,  looking at all the crew, hunger feasting in her eyes, pouring fear into the sailors. She reached out, she pointed "You" before the sailor knew it her hand was around his throat, his feet lifted off the ground. Pain spread itself all over his body as she sucked the very life out of him, he felt himself fading, fading into the darkness. He felt cold, shivering, she continued to feast.

It was then the heat left him and the chill of the frost took over his body, from this the shivering stopped, his lungs stopped working and his brain cut off. It was then that he was transported into a world of darkness...
