I don't want to be one of those cheesy authors who writes to there fans and apologizes for taking a long time to publish something, and lets be honest, my fans are nonexistent 😂, but for those who care, I think I did take a fairly long time to publish, and I'm sorry this chapter kind of sucks, but there will be more, Ive just been busy lately.
"Boom! Pay up , Rob." Wally said, holding his hand, waiting for the cash Robin owed him.
"Nah, no way, best out of three?" Robin asked.
Wally thought for a moment before nodding and re-picking up the video game controller.
"Wally!" Zatanna burst through the room.
"What? Sorry Zee, I'm kinda busy whooping your boyfriends ass." He said, his thumbs moving furiously against the controllers buttons.
Zatanna blushed and said, "He's not my boyfriend!"
"That's what you say, now if you'd excuse me." His eyes never left the screen as his character got a powerup.
"Wally it's Artemis." She said frantically trying to get him off the couch.
"What does she need now?" He said, rolling his eyes.
"You! You idiot!" She stomped.
"She can take care of herself. I'm not helping her straighten up her room again."
"Wally! She's crying, get your ass to her room!"
Wally dropped the controller. "What do you mean she's crying!"
"She has a nightmare or something, Wally, she's in hysterics—"
He was already speeding to her room. "Artemis?" He asked.
The blonde was on the bed, crying hysterically, hidden under the covers, shaking and shivering.
"What's the matter?" He asked, walking over to the bed.
"Wally!" She got up and threw her arms around him. "Your alive..." she cried.
"What do you mean, ali—oh Artemis..." he realized what she was saying.
She'd had a dream of him dying, and he imagined how much that hurt her and he understood why she was holding on so tight.
"Shhh..." he rubbed her back and sat on the bed.
She just sobbed harder. "What happened?" He asked.
"Sports master—I couldn't...I couldn't move..couldn't.....save..." she broke down in sobs.
He laid down on the bed with her. She held onto his shoulders and rested her head on his chest. He snaked an arm around her waist. "It's ok. I'm right here. I'm not leaving. Never."
She just buried her head into the crook of his neck further. "Your okay."
"Don't leave." She whispered.
"I won't."
