Hannah's POV :
The music was starting up- and in well-practised order the cheerleaders issued out to perform their dance on the centre of the hall.
Wearing one of my favourite gowns gifted by my elder brother for my 17th Birthday; its flattering, but revealing nothing more than a bare shoulder, and in one of the pale colours that I like. Searching through the crowd suddenly I froze. 'Dark, long - lashed eyes, focused on Me, A shadowed face with lean cheeks, incised features, A mouth with deep lines around it . A sculpted jawline. Night - dark hair. Mike Scott '. For a timeless moment the impression carved itself in my vision. Then with a jolt, I started ignoring again reminding myself he's just a egoistical stupid jerk crush of mine! Jerkily, pacing backwards, I spotted Rachel in a vivid scarlet evening gown. She was as usual enjoying with her cheerleading team and some other jocks and is having a great time! Well its not like I am some Loner I do know few people or all but all they need each other for is work and some benefits is what I've learnt.
All friendships are artificial, if you're beneficial they will not leave you and once they are done with their motto; you will just be a somebody they once used. People are becoming shallow and shallow day by day! Anyways, Cant change all the things though I know one thing for sure Mike is still staring at me. Hectically, tumbling thoughts inside my head I joined with Rachel and put my artificial mask back on.
Mike's POV :
Staring after her retreating form mixing with the cheerleaders team, she dissappeared.
The party is almost ending, people are wasted and scattered around; some are heading towards the exit while the couples are searching for empty spare rooms. Typical Teenage Party! I would have also been one of them but tonight I have a mission on my mind, getting to my feet I start searching. But she's no where around the hall. I can see her friends - but she's missing. So where is she?
Right on cue I spotted a glass door to the side open, and slipped through on impulse. Finding out its a huge terrace with gardens stretching out, turning corners, stepping on the lawns there was a figure at the edge of it. A female figure, her evening gown pale in the dim light, craning her neck upwards. She was looking up at the night sky and not back at the mansion.
Knowing exactly who that is, I start walking down towards her.
