I was extremely nervous for Shawn and I's little meeting to talk about where we stood, but nervous was an understatement. I was absolutely scared out of my mind to see how things would turn out between us. I realized that we had never established that we were actually dating, it was kind of natural for us to refer to one another as boyfriend and girlfriend. And that scared me. I knew Shawn had feelings for me but I didn't know if they were stronger enough to pursue a relationship.

The door bell rang which was followed by a swift knock causing me to race down the stairs in anticipation. I unlocked the door to reveal a boy with bags underneath his eyes, and wearing a face that screamed 'tired.' He looked like he hadn't slept in days.

"Hi," I said shyly gesturing for him to enter the house. Shawn gave me a quick smile and walked over to the couch situated against the wall.

The fact that you could cut a knife through this tension was overwhelming.

"Hailey, I need you to know, don't interrupt me let me finish then you can speak, that these past few weeks of getting to know you and having the opportunity to be in your presence has easily been the best days of my existence. You are kind hearted, you are warm, you're the most genuine and courageous person I've had the opportunity to meet, and the way you see the good in everyone no matter how much the bad plays is, is absolutely beautiful. Hails, you've never failed to bring the calm of the storm. You're truly the light in my life, and I know this is happening quickly but our lives are fast paced which means we have no choice but to follow in suit. I want you to give me another chance, and I will prove to you that I can be the best man I know I can be," Shawn finishes while grabbing my fingers and beginning to twiddle and fidget them.

Those words are what I needed to hear but words only mean so much, actions are what really mattered most in this world. I wanted to trust him but I didn't know how to be able to do so again. It was hard for me to trust and give my all into someone but I knew if I didn't take a chance then I'd always be left wandering 'what if..' thoughts.

I ran my fingers through my hair and mustered up my best shy smile before letting out a sigh.

"Shawn, I want to trust you. I really do but I'm not sure how to be able to do that. I don't want to be one of those insecure girls who demands you to cut off all of you're girl friends because that'd be ridiculous and you'd end up resenting me in the end."

He let go of my hands causing me to frown because of the loss of touch but he brought his hands up to either side of my face before pulling me close then saying, "I will earn your trust. This is all me, baby. Not on you. You don't need to do a thing but watch me." I smiled softly at his words. Man, this boy was serious and I couldn't imagine saying no to such a gentle face that held good intentions.

"Camila," Shawn pulled out his phone and flipped through it for a second before showing me a photo, "Look at the date. This is the original photo that she posed. A year ago was when this was taken."

I install felt utterly silly and embarrassed which caused me to choke back a laugh because here I was again like any other girl jumping to conclusions. I didn't deserve this boy. "Well that explains a lot.."

"See Miss. Baldwin," He started poking at my stomach before finishing his sentence, "This is why we gather all the facts before going on a rampage."
Shawn raised up in eyebrow and quirked up his lip to show me how dramatic I'd been acting.

I laid my head back onto the sofa before saying, "This time, let's take it slow. Let's pretend we first met and I think it'll get us in a good position. No more secrets, or lies. Another shot for us."

He muttered 'hmm' as if he was thinking about the proposal, which caused me to swat him in the arm jokingly. "Hey! I'm trying to weigh out my options here!" I squinted my eyes at him before straddling him with my legs on either side and wrapping my arms around his neck.

I started placing soft wet kisses on his face, and leaving a trail down his jaw which earned me a soft moan from him. Shawn's eyes were closed in both amusement and arousal. I had him right where I wanted him. He gripped his hands on my ass, and slowly started moving my hips back and forth.

I gently started rocking myself on my own before saying, "Well, I'm asking you to choose us."

I certainly didn't invite him over for a round of dry sex so this was going to cease any minute from now, since things between us were going to be taken slowly.

"I'll always choose us."

I let out the biggest smile I'd been holding in then telling him, "A few days ago, I wanted nothing to do with your Canadian ass. Well, now look at us having some dry sex on this couch."

"What better way to seal the deal."
