So I made a wand
And then I borrowed a wood burner from a friend(Couple other angles to show the design all around)
(Here's the bottom-I burned my name into it above the circle thing)
(And here we see my attempt to hide my pink cheetah-print band aid)
The burning turned out very pretty, and I think it was worth the couple of burns that I took to my fingers (they're not as pretty) It's especially worth it after I spent a week designing and went through making two other wands before falling in love with the wand design (it took the same amount of time and much more stress to find a design to go on the wand itself before I left school.-that's where most of my tools were so I had to get most of it don't there) I'm going to try and find my desired shade of stain to go on it, I can't go too dark (though I wish I could) as it would undo all the work I put into the pattern.
I also ended up getting my own wood burning kit to play with when I get more supplies.
I intend on burning a bird/Ravenclaw design onto a bigger wood base
(It can burn colours too!!)
