Lack of sleep drove me crazy as the plane began to get ready for the landing on Chen’s Island. I couldn’t stop thinking about Jay… and Gale… I hate to admit it, but the guy’s a total hottie and he does have some charm. And it ain’t the dumb, cheesy stuff Kai uses all the time on Skylor or any other girl for that matter. It’s actually charming. And oh... his elemental power also impresses me. I mean weather is his power! He can make the sun come out or make it snow during summer!!! He really is powerful.
But my heart belongs to Jay. I’ve already declared my love for him, more to myself though. It’s set in stone now that we are together and I’m not just gonna drop him for some strong random stranger that just happens to be a bit of a hottie, stalker, and charmer! It’s only my emotional girl hormones acting out. Or, let’s say, I hope it is…
I shake Skylor awake and it results in her jolting up so fast that she nearly jumps out of her seat and hits her head on the roof. Giggling, I tried to calm her down and once she realizes it’s just me, we both laughed together. I looked at the seats next to me, currently occupied by a snoring Kai and a Jay curled up holding a teddy bear.
“He’s still my sleepy bluebird.” I thought and giggled at his adorable sleeping situation.
“Hey, what do you think would be the best way to wake Kai and Jay up?” Skylor asked with a mischievous smile on her face.
“Let them sleep. They’ll need their energy if they’re going to face Chen, right?” I said giving her a smile and looking down at my boyfriend, cuddling with his teddy bear…

--TIME SKIP--
“Hey, Psst! Nya! We’ve arrived. Time to pack our things girl, c’mon. PSST!!” whispered yelled a familiar voice that I couldn’t recognize when I started to get up. And it was none other than my one and only scarlet-haired friend, Skylor. Her hair was a mess when I finally saw her face but she didn’t seemed she cared. I laughed a bit as her ponytail sat on the very top on her head with a bunch of tufts of hair sticking out with static electricity.
“C’mon girl, I can’t wait you forever, can I?” she said while playfully punching my arm.
“Well… you would, but then we would miss the Tournament and that wouldn’t be very nice to do to our boys. Right?” I teased while she laughed.
We got up and went to get our bags. I took a look at the people who followed us. My brother, Lloyd, and Cole were talking about the new masters while Jay and Zane were talking at the back about something I couldn’t hear. Probably some engineering stuff. Then I did a 180 and found Gale gazing at me intently. Was he checking me out?!
“Um, hey…” I said awkwardly. I can’t just not talk to him now that we made eye contact! It’d be rude. “Did you... sleep well?”
“I did, thanks. Uhmm… Can I ask you something Nya?” he said looking directly in my eyes. God, his eyes are just...
