The dashes rushed by Sam Éntrinte's face as he gazed at the dark road, half awake. Slowly being lulled to sleep by the quiet hum of classic rock on his sister's radio and the near presence of night. A bump in the road lifted his head ever so slightly from the passenger car window. A second bump helped his head to meet the window in an annoying knock. Groaning at the sudden rouse to full consciousness Sam pulled his head to the head rest of the chair. He watched the road approach momentarily, however the constant movement in the edge of his vision drew his gaze to his older sister. Katie was 19 had their mom's blonde hair, and was ruining the art of lip-sinking. She gazed at her younger brother momentarily before looking back at the road.
"What is it Sam", she asked casually as she continued to lip-sink horrendously? Sam crossed his arms giving his sister a serious look,
" you know public indecency is against the law right Katie", he asked? Katie scoffed amusedly,
"Say what you want but at least I'm not singing." Sam tried to return with a witty reply, but all he could do was agree, his sister couldn't sing. Shrugging his agreement Sam watched as his sister shook her shoulders and danced her fingers across the steering wheel one hand at a time.
"How much longer", he asked with a sigh as he looked back out the window? Katie's refection gestured to the lights just ahead of them.
"That's the town so about five minuets before we get to Uncle Jason's place", she explained. Sam gave her a thumbs up and rested his head on the window as she shook his fist with her hand casually. He read Lunar Campgrounds and Lodging on a sign as they passed it. The town was small but Sam saw a few stores, one for groceries, another for sports. He also saw quite a few people his age scattered throughout the town's sidewalks. They all seemed to blend into each other like the sea, no face in particular standing out. That was his opinion prior to Katie's next turn. After which Sam briefly noticed two people. A girl with white long hair, and a boy with sandy hair, beside them was another teen about the girls age, though he didn't stand out. Sam didn't know why they stood out to him, but he couldn't resist looking for them in the mirror after the car had passed them.  "Wacha see", his sister asked interested in his sudden movement? He gave her a weakly confused look,"don't know, just thought I saw something interesting", he replied. Satisfied, they both remained quiet the last few minutes of the trip. Katie releasing an exaggerated sigh as her muscle car Hummed to a well deserved sleep.
Sam exited his sister's car, pulling his luggage from Katie's hand when she pulled it from the trunk. Their uncle's house, now in view, was dark with the now present night. Sam could make out his uncle's car in the driveway ahead of them. He glanced at it as he made his way towards the front porch. Though his uncle Jason had horrible taste in music he had exceptional taste in cars; sighing that he could not fully appreciate the glorious vehicle, Sam made his way up the front steps of his uncle's house. Placing his luggage on the door mat Sam tried the door and wasn't surprised to feel it yield. His uncle was a very relaxed man who had never had the door locked, not one time when Sam had ever visited. They both entered the house and Katie flipped the light switch, illuminating their immediate area. Immediately they both made out the sleeping form of their dear Uncle on the couch. They quietly placed their shoes by the door and made their way past him into the guest rooms. Both teens sneaked past their loudly snoring uncle up the stairs. Katie entered the first room on the right, and Sam chose the second on the same side of the hall. This was their routine, both always chose these particular rooms when they stayed here. Sam placed his bag on the floor by the bed and leaned out his room's door to tell his sister goodnight. Katie's acknowledged him with a wave of her hand , she closed her door giving her brother a tired good night.

Content, Sam closed his own door and looked around his room . It was decently sized, the room could fit two twin beds and nightstands comfortably. At the moment it  had only one bed and nightstand, as well as a reasonable dresser. Tired, Sam placed his bag by the door and pulled off his shirt, socks, and pants, till only his briefs remained. He turned off the lights and felt his way to the bed. To his surprise the bed was quite comfortable, not being hard as he'd remembered. Shifting for several minutes until he was comfortable, the tire of his journey began to pull him gently into sleep. Sam focused on the sounds of the forest as he finally succumbed the last one he noticed sounding like howling in the night.
