Chapter 1

Hi! My name is Jewel... I'm a freshman in Ngee Ann Secondary School. I'm 14 years old and guess what, I may be studying in Singapore, but I'm not a Singaporean. I'm a Filipino. And I'm a proud filipino.

It's the first day in the new school! And I'm really scared! I need to make some friends or else I'm gonna be quiet for the rest of the time! Did I tell you that I'm extremely shy around strangers? No? Well, I am. Extremely!

Well, here goes nothing...

When I entered the building, I just found myself standing beside some vending machines looking like a lost puppy. I'm so scared and I look like an idiot standing there!

"Hi" an unfamiliar voice was heard behind me. I turn to look at him. He's really cute! Taller than me(I'm just 153cm so of course he's taller than me) and he looks well built! Kyaa!

"Hi" I can barely speak

"Are you new here? You look lost"

"Yea, I'm new. And I do seem lost. Don't I?"

"Do you need any help finding your way somewhere?"

"Actually yes, I'm a freshman and I don't know where to go next."

"Oh okay. I'll show you to the hall. By the way, my name is Ryan. I'm a student counselor"

Ryan! That's his name! What a cute name for a cute guy!

"Nice to meet you Ryan! I'm Jewel"

"Jewel. That's a nice name."

"Thanks! Ryan is a pretty cute name too"

"Ahahaha! Thanks?"

"LOL"

"Okay, this way."

"thank you"

I think I'm blushing! Omg! What is this feeling? This weird tingly feeling? I just stare at his back view while he's leading me to the hall.

"Here we are!" Ryan said

"Wow! Now we're here, where am I suppose to go?"

"That I'm not quite sure. Wait here"

"No it's okay!" he was gone before I finished my sentence. What a gentle man he is... Kyaa!!

"There! Their setting up the cards. Just look for you class"

"Thank you very much! I would still be standing down there looking like an idiot if you hadn't come"

"Your welcome! It was my pleasure! See you around! Bye!"

"Bye! Thanks again"

"Bye" he waved then he left. Omg! Such a gentleman! He's so amazing. I hope I can see him around.

Haizz... It is very boring! The assembly talk, the introduction to the school, BORING! It was all boring! I haven't made any friends and there's two people behind me talking non-stop when the principal specifically asked everyone to shut up. What a crowd! I'm gonna feel stuck with this people if I don't make some friends soon.

I think this is my most loneliest day ever in my life! Some introduction to the lessons and recess went by and all I felt was loneliness. I'm gonna be a loner for the rest of the year maybe?

Now time for another boring assembly. It was the last item for the day. After this, I can finally go home. YES!

"Hello! My name is Jamie!"

"Hi! I'm Jewel! Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too! Have you met anyone?"

"Actually no. I'm very shy to say hi. I've met someone though. But he's not in our cohort."

"Really? Who is it?"

"Some secondary 3 student counselor"

"Oh! Sec 3, Nice! Let's go!"

"Yeah, Sure"

Omg! She's super nice! She's the first person who has approached me! I think me and Jamie are gonna be very good friends. Heeheehee^^

"Bye Jewel! See yah tomorrow!"

"Bye Jamie!"

She's super nice! I'm starting to love after just one hour of chatting with her.

Then "Hi again!" a familiar voice spoke
