Reunited But Unrecognised...

Anxiously applying a thin coat of pink lip gloss, before frowning furiously at the mirror, with wide eyes I cautiously surveyed my appearance. I wore a fitted navy striped dress which curved out at the edged and stopped just above my knees. I had slipped into a pair of blue pumps embellished with bows and minimal glitter. My cardigan clung to my olive skin as my straight golden hair sat perfectly on my shoulders. I slipped on blue bow to match those on my shoes, and adjusted my pearl earrings. My eyes were emeralds, shining and glinting in the faint glow of the moonlight. Graciously gliding through the gentle breeze, I reached the small restaurant where I'd agreed to meet my beautiful best friend. After hours of Contemplating, I'd decided that the antics from yesterday was just a learning curve in my life, and in a way I was grateful that  it had enabled me to see that I wasn't living the life I wanted. That I needed to change. Public humiliation had been enough punishment on myself, I didn't need a best friend that hated me. I already had one of them... One who I'd tried to so, so hard to forget, but failed every time. And today, I was about to put things right, back to how they should be.

The sensational scent of Lemon  and Lime, Exotic spices and extravagant meals rushed to greet me as I tumbled through the door to meet the start of my night, which I hoped to be the start of my future. As soon as I stepped through the door and almost tripped, I thought otherwise. A hyper teenage boy stumbled towards me, terror evident on his face. I gasped softly as he grabbed my body as a shield, his hands on my shoulders, guiding me skillfully along the wall. I shot upright as I saw Beth in the corner, gaping at me... It was when I realised that he was playing around with his friend that I relaxed. The adorableness of the situation made my face warm and a smile appear. As soon as the Boys saw that I wasn't going to scream, they continued to mess around, throwing food ateach other, the little one still using my body as a shield. With no other choice other than to Stand there as they threw food at each other, I couldn't help but join in. I ducked when the boy in the corner would aim for the boy behind me, causing him to scream loudly. I was in fits of laughter after two minutes, when Beth managed to rescue me. She hauled me out of the boys grip, to gain a disapproving shriek. As she guided me through the lower level of Nandos, I felt her hands trembling. I watched in confusion as the people around us grinned and the managers and waiters simply shook their heads laughing. Pushing me feebly into the toilets, Beth frantically searched for her lip balm, trying to look occupied as the final lady exited the toilets. I watched her closely as she slammed the lip gloss on the counter before swiftly exhaling and slowly swivelling found to face me.

"Care to explain?" her shriek caused me to stumble back a few steps, and I reached over to lock the toilet door. Running my hands through my hair slowly, I sighed before taking a lock of her blond hair and swivelling it in my hands.

"I'm so sorry, I got carried away... I know I should have come to you first, but I didn't want to ruin their fun.. I know, I  don't know them but they didn't seem like weirdos, just 5 teenage boys.." I gushed, pulling her tightly to me, not wanting to ever let her go as an avalanche of tears prepared to spill.

"What are you on about Lily? Five boys that happen to be One Direction!" she squealed, louder than her shriek. I stumbled backwards, causing the hand dryer to go off in a frenzy.

"And you happened to be in a food fight with them, I thought we was gonna get chucked out!" Grinning like an excited school girl at home time, she flicked through the shots of her phone she got of me dodging food from the Boys. One picture had a particular glow to it, and as leaned closer, my heart burst into a thousand butterflies. The excited teenage boy, had his arms around a young girl who laughed happily. Both with their eyes bright and glowing, blissfully unaware that they had once meant the world to each other.

" No,NO. What are you doing?" I cried, as she uploaded it to twitter, tagging @NiallOffical in the message. I Lunged for her phone, only stopping when someone rattled onto the door handle, a loud booming voice making us stop dead in our tracks.
