I now lived at the base north west from my home town, I didn't see many kids around. Maybe they died? Missing? Who knows, all I know is that my mum and brother are dead I can't ignore the fact that they are and I have no contact with my father most of the telephone services were down, thanks to the mimics.
It was rough at first being surrounded by so many unfamiliar faces and places. Commander Anthony said that he knows my father and is a good friend of his, but sadly is unaware of his whereabouts.
That's why he let me live here at the base, I had my own room however, in order to continue living here I had to train every day not just your regular work out punching shit.
I got to experience new technology like the armour they had to wear when going out on missions.
The armour added a bit of hight to you which is a good thing if your short like me, the engineers said I can paint it any colour I liked so I chose red.
The armour was not that heavy, it couldn't be otherwise it would be hard to move around in.
Regular bullets weren't that affective on mimics it would just piss them off and give away your position on the battlefield.
So you are given a battle axe or a Rifle.
But the amo for the rifle are small shells filled with a toxin which in multiple shots can kill a mimic.
But some people need to be at the front line of defence and attack, those soldiers are give the battle axe however for this weapon you must turn off auto balance on your armour or you'll end up ripping yourself in half when in combat. And must be highly ranked to handle such a weapon.
It's all so complicated and a lot to remember but after trial and error I got the hang of it all, I think.
I decided to use the battle axe as my weapon as I get to move more freely than the people behind the front lines.
It's more life threatening, but if dad can do it I can.
When I turned 16 at the end of the year i was then sent to the same base as commander Anthony's son Tyler. I've never met him before until we joined the cadets together and as the weeks went on we began to get closer and closer.
It feels like I've known him my whole life, he reminds me of Daniel in certain ways, he makes me feel like I'm not alone.
I didn't really have any other friends than Tyler i was never the one for making a lot of friends. Just one special friend was enough.
