((Chapter edited))
Something curious did happen, making me almost immediately drop my quill.
"Hermione, Harry is here!" Ron suddenly came into my shared room with Hermione. It looked as if he had hurried to come over here. Hermione quickly left what she was doing and followed Ron out of the bedroom. I wondered to myself if I should follow them, but then concluded I should stay where I was, it was Hermione and Ron that Harry wanted to question, probably.
How would Harry feel about being ignored this summer? If Allana was annoyed at me, and apparently she was having a pretty good time, what would Harry, who was left alone with the Dursleys (they're horrible, based on what I've heard), think about his friends completely pretending he didn't exist?
Ouch.
Just by imagining that, I realised the conversation those three were about to have would be- intense. And they would surely bring on topics I could talk about too.
Curiosity started to grow on me. I knew I shouldn't enter conversations that weren't mine to hear, but they say Weasley girls are as stubborn as they come.
Mum says that. About me only though.
I rushed to Fred and George's dormitory. After all, I did need their collaboration, so that I wouldn't be the only nosy one that wants to hear and add stuff on what they talk about. Plus, I was confident they'd want to join the conversation too, so I couldn't leave those two out.
The moment I opened the door, a jack-in-a-box jumped up, but instead of being- well a jack, it was a fist that came out of the surprise box. A fist that nearly hit me straight in the eye if I hadn't ducked in time.
"What are you doing with that?" I partly wanted to laugh, but the other half of me that knew I could've gotten a swollen eye wasn't too amused. "If Mum comes in, she'll kill you."
"You're short, Gin." George shook his head, as if disapproving it. But I was fourteen years old, and apparently, I didn't exactly get the super height genes the twins and Ron got.
"Besides, it wouldn't actually beat you up like you expected, it's bewitched so that it turns into a stack of feathers before it even touched you." Fred explained proudly.
"But, hey, nice reflexes!" George added cheerfully.
"Thank you." I rolled my eyes, but this time, I was smiling. "Listen, I need you to apparate into Ron's dormitory." I got straight to my point.
"Why? You nearly hexed us when we gave you a surprise apparition in your room yesterday-" Fred raised his eyebrows, as if telling me if I'm for real.
"Don't you want to hear what Harry, Ron and Hermione talk about?" I ignored Fred's question. This time, it was me who made her brows go up expectantly.
Fred and George looked at each other for a couple seconds, I always thought it was a special way they had of communicating with each other.
"That's not the only thing we want. You win this time, sister." The twins chorused and went out of sight with a 'pop', not without taking some sort of red string with them.
"Catch you in a second!" I told no one in particular, smirking to myself. I went to the first door found on the left of the floor down, and opened it to effectively find Harry, Hermione, Ron, George and Fred.
