SKY'S POV

I don't know how long I just laid there and wondered how long it would take for him to sober up. All I know is eventually I had gotten up, and left to find the drunken asshole. I checked and found out he wasn't at the pub that he said he would be at. So, here I was, driving down the streets after midnight, during a thunderstorm. As strange as it sounds, normally a storm would  calm me down, but right now I can't even enjoy the thunder. The sidwalks consisted of people trying to find shelter in a car or a shop, but none of them were Johnny.

About an hour of searching had drained all my hope of seeing him. Is he okay? DId he leave the pub and go somewhere... Maybe with another girl? A blinking light distracted from my thoughts, I groaned seeing it indicating my gas was running empty. I drive down a ways, not seeing a single gas station, nor much of anything or anyone. My car came to a stop on the corner of an empty highway. I looked over at the yellow sign that said 'next exit 7 miles.'

I shook my head in disbelief. No fucking way I'm walking 7 miles in this cold shit. The cold was already coming into the car to the point I could see my breath. I shivered, pulling my thin jacket closer to my body.... why did I grab the worst jacket I own? Why did I think this jacket would be warm?

I urgently search through my pockets for my phone. I curse under my breath, and desperately dial the number I usually would when I'm in trouble.

"Sk-" Sadie's voice was muffled and hard to under stand. "Ar-..y-....alright? Do yo-.... kno-... time-..is"

"Sadie! My car ran out of gas."

"Sky I can't hear yo-" She said. I checked my phone screen seeing I only had only one bar. I debated in my head what to do, I pulled up my hood making up my mind.

"hold on a sec." I undid my seatbelt, opening the door feeling the cold air, and not to mention rain, come flooding in. I walk around the road with my phone in the air. I smiled seeing that I had finally got three bars.

"Sadie."

"Yeah, what's going on? Its almost 3 am." I let out a shaky breath, feeling my teeth clatter and body shiver. My jeans and jacket were already completely soaked and sticking to my skin. Just fantastic.

"My car ran out of gas," I began. "I'm stuck on an empty highway."

"Okay, Okay, where are you!?" Her voice alarmed and worried. I glanced around at my surroundings, the place dark and rain droplets blocking the view. I wiped some water off my face, I spotted a sign on the side of the road, almost to dark to read.

"It says... A658 Eccleshill." I read.

"Why are you almost to bradford?" She asked concerned. I sighed feeling my hands going numb.

"Johnny left and I was looking for him."

"He's an asshole." she shamelessly accused. She paused, waiting for me to stick up for him, but it didn't happen. "Well...Alright." She continued. "I'll get someone out there to pick you up. Just keep warm and wait."

Warm.... I hung up the phone and sprinted to the car for warmth. I jumped in the back seat looking for maybe some extra clothes to where, my hands were already red and started to turn purple, which I am sure I have the first stage of hypothermia. To my surprise, I found a pair of black skinny jeans I've been looking for, and a long with a white Maroon 5 T-shirt in the mess. I quickly took off the chilled wet clothes, and replaced them with the dry ones. I took off my soaked socks, sneakers and jacket then shook them off the best I could. Even with dry clothes and damp shoes and jacket, I was chilled to the bone. I wrapped my arms around my legs and pulled them to my chest. Every second felt like an eternity in a frozen hell. I wonder why I even went looking for Johnny, he's the bad guy, coming home drunk asking why I'm mad? I'm actually happy I didn't find him, it would have ended in a stupid fight. He's probably in some random chicks bed, already forgot about me.
