There are many creatures in this world, this Earth. Some say that we are unnatural, others say we were created to love, that this was intentional. No matter what you believe, there are still rules to this world.
Soulmarks are the bond that tie together this world. Every creature has at least one Soulbond, one link to this realm. Those who do not are barely living, they have no purpose, no tie to this world. Those are The Forgotten.
Perhaps the most tragic of all are the Undead, humans who have sinned some way in life and so are cursed with unending death. There is no salvation, solace, or peace until their minds erode. For humanity will always be both the best and worst of us all and the Undead are cast aside like unwanted children.
None of us ever expected to fall into this mess—suppose it was Fate who decided. All of us are young, not even full adults. You wouldn't expect a few depressed teens to be heroes, but really...we're no heroes.
