Training

As Alice started to wake up, she heard leafs crunching, a lot of leafs crunching. She'd rub her eyes, stretching then looking around, seeing that there were coyotes surrounding her everywhere. She'd jump, looking around wide eyed and panicked at them all, "MF!?" She'd go to nudge him, being met with a tree and air. She turned around and saw that he wasn't there, and that the others were gone too, the only thing left of them were a snuffed out fire and MF's dagger.

She'd look back at the coyotes seemingly paralyzed in fear. One of the coyotes would growl, starting to advance towards her. She'd try to back up, but was already against a tree, looking around for any escape. None. The coyotes would start to advance more, tightening the circle around her and growling. Her breath would quicken, terrified by them all. One of the coyotes would jump at her. She'd cover her face with her arms, screaming.

MF would jump down from the tree above Alice, landing in front of her as the coyote jumped at her, grabbing its mouth with his hands. He'd separate its mouth, pulling the lower jaw until it broke off.

Alice heard a loud crack and a whimper from the coyote. She'd slowly open her eyes to see MF standing in front of her, then throwing down the bottom jaw of the coyote. The other coyotes would back off, then running off. ^...Welp, that failed.^

"...Thank you."

^Yeah, but I was expecting you to defend yourself, not sit there and scream.^ He'd go over and pick his dagger up from the ground, sheathing it.

"Wait, you expected me to defend myself there?"

^Or at least use context clues to find out for yourself, but yes.^

"Those were coyotes!"

^And I hunt demons, but do you hear me complaining?^

"Yessss actually." Wraith would be floating in the tree.

^Not my point Wraith, but still.^

"You expected me to fight coyotes!"

^Yes I did.^

"Why?!" She'd stand up, confused and somewhat angered.

^Because now that you're in the world, you need to know how to defend yourself.^

"But I'm a princess!"

^Not anymore, out here you're another stick in the mud, another face, another possible victim of rape.^

She'd stop, shocked and disgusted at the thought. "...E-Ew..."

^Yeah, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.^

"Or the tip of the di-" Wraith started.

^NOPE, not making that fucking joke.^ He'd cut Wraith off.

"Damn." Wraith would say, turning invisible.

"...Ugh." She'd shudder at the thought, quickly recovering, "How do you expect me to fight coyotes?"

^Self defense.^

"..."

^...They didn't teach you that, did they?^

"They told me that if I was attacked, to yell out for help."

MF would facepalm, ^Of course they did...fuck sake.^ He'd look at Alice, ^...This is gonna take a while.^

"What do you mean?"

^I'm gonna try to train you on how to fucking fight.^
