Christmas present

//it's currently 4 am and I'm freaked because I think my room is haunted, so here's a story for you// sorry if it's bad//

-Your POV-
Christmas is tomorrow and I have gotten everyone something, except Jake. I've had a crush on Jake for awhile now but I can't tell him cause he'll laugh at me. Devyn keeps telling me he won't, but I know he will. I want to find him something he can use or look at all the time.

"Colby, lets go to Target" I say popping my head in his room

"I'm down" Colby said getting up and putting on his shoes. Colby loves Target so I knew he would say yes. I explained to him that I wanted to get Jake a present but I didn't know what so he agreed to help

We got to Target and started looking around, I thought about shirts, or bracelets, or video games, but Colby kept telling me no. He knew about my crush on Jake and he knew this Christmas I wanted to get him something special, so he lead me across the store grabbing a basket on the way.

-Jakes POV-

I really like y/n and I wanna get her a present she will never forget. I have some ideas in mind but I don't know what exactly she would like, so I went to Devyn.
"Hey Devyn, I need help" I said walking into her and Corey's room

"You wanna get Y/n a present she won't forget?" She asked raising her eyebrows. I nodded and we started talking about what she liked

"I kinda wanna get her like, a picture of all of us and frame it or something"  I said. She looked at me like I was stupid and shook her head

"She has tons of pictures, it won't be unforgettable if you get her a picture" she texted Corey to come up and help. Corey came in and sat next to me and we all started talking

"Wait, I have an idea" Corey turned to me "why don't you just ask her out?" He said with a huge smile. I looked at him in shock. Is he insane?

"Corey, that's not a gift" Devyn said looking him dead in the face "although, you could incorporate that IN the gift"

"What do you mean?" I asked confused

"You get her something and then on the card or something you ask her out" she sounded excited. They new about my crush on y/n, and they always try to come up with excuses for me to ask her out

"Okay, but what do I get her? I want it to be special if I'm asking her out too" I say needing more help than ever. We all continue talking and Devyn comes up with something brilliant. We quickly went to the car, and drove off

-Your POV-

"Colby, it's perfect!" I say as we head to check out

"I know, that's why I lead you to it" he said laughing at my excitement. We checked out and headed back to the house. I grabbed the bag and ran upstairs to my room grabbing wrapping paper and a box

I locked my door and threw everything on my bed. I sat on my floor and put his present in the box. I grabbed the wrapping paper, it had zombies wearing Santa hates with a black background which I thought was amazing, and started wrapping it. I'm not the best at wrapping presents so I knew it would take me a minute to wrap.

I messed up several times but finally managed to make it look decent. Then it hit me, I forgot a card. I decided it didn't need a card and quickly taped a piece of paper with his name written neatly on it and put it under the tree

-Jakes POV-

"Guys, it's perfect!" I said with a huge smile on my face. I texted Y/n and asked if she could pick a couple things up at the store so that we can get it inside without her noticing. She agreed and I could barely contain my excitement

When we got home, I carefully walked up the stairs and put her present in my room. I decided I would wait till morning to wrap it since I couldn't find any wrapping paper

Corey and Devyn said I should ask her out aswell, but how? I thought I'd different ways. I could make her a card, no, a card is too original. I could just come out and ask her after she opened it, no, I'm too much of a wimp.  I could write her a poem, no, I'm not good at poems

After what seemed like hours I finally came up with the perfect thing. I wrote her a note and I was gonna attach it to the present because I thought it would be cute. I called Devyn in to have her take a look

"Jake, this is perfect. I think she'll love it" she said with a smile. I heard the door open meaning y/n was home. We quickly left making sure to close my door and  went downstairs

"Well, it took me forever but I finally got what you wanted" she said placing the bag of snacks I asked for on the table

"Thanks y/n/n you're the best" I said smiling

"I know" she said laughing and walking off. She was so cute, every time I look at her I can't help but smile.

—Time skip —

-Your POV-

I decided I should probably go to bed considering I was getting up early cause, well, presents. I went to bed and I couldn't wait for Jake to open his present. He was gonna love it.

I woke up to Sam banging on my door yelling at me to wake up. I quickly got up and ran downstairs. I saw Jake out a present under the tree and I couldn't help but smile. He was just so cute, it kills me

We went by a rule where we all got each other one gift and each person opened their gift from a person
(Ex. Aaron gives everyone a gift, everyone must then open Aarons gift before the others. Etc.)
Everyone was opening my gift one by one. I got Everyone a gift I knew they would like and a gift I knew they would roll their eyes at. They were all thanking me when it was Jakes turn to open his present. I was so nervous I felt like I was gonna puke.

He opened it and his jaw dropped, in seconds a smile grew on his face

"Y/n, you didn't" he said even more excited than I expected. He started pulling things out, I got him more hair dye, and basically a new outfit, they were things he had pointed out while him and Colby were looking for presents for others

He got up and hugged me smiling like bigger than I've seen. His dimples are so cute I literally have to force myself not to blush when i see them

-Jakes POV-

She must've gone with Colby when she went to get my present because it was basically everything I said I wanted while him and I were shopping. I couldn't stop smiling. Then everyone started to unwrap their presents

Y/n unwrapped hers last and I was so nervous I thought I was gonna die. I carefully placed her present infront of her

"Be careful with it. And that's not a joke, actually be careful" I said with a serious face. She nodded her head and slowly started unwrapping it. She hadn't even opened the box but I was guessing she already knew what it was

"Jake. No, you didn't. Jake. This isn't funny" she opened the box and almost started crying. She sat there for a minute with her head in her hands before picking up what was in the box. She pulled out a little husky puppy and began to sob

"Y/n, there's a note on the collar" Devyn pointed out. She wiped the tears from her face and took the note for her collar

Dear y/n
Merry Christmas. I know this is not at all what you were expecting but I wanted to give you a present you would remember. From the day I met you I knew I liked you. You are the most beautiful, amazing, wonderful, caring, funny, awesome girl in the entire world, and no one can convince me otherwise. So, all that being said, will you y/n  y/l/n, be my girlfriend?

She looked at me with tears streaming down her face. She put the puppy on Aarons lap

"Of course I will" she said jumping up giving me a giant hug. It took all I had not to just cry right then and there. We pulled away and she picked up the husky and sat it in her lap while she was on mine

Everyone was talking about what to name her but all I could think about was how I was now dating y/n, the girl of my dreams
