Taigaclan was one surrounded by a thick forest of pine.
The pine did not shed in the winter, so the trees gave protection for when the heavy snow came in Leaf-bare. Yet they could also cause some damage if the tree could not support the weight.
It got darker the deeper you went with some open spots of light. In some areas it felt like you could sink into the ground.
The river flowed down from surrounding mountains and split. There was a river going south towards the Flat Rocks. Another went East and down the Cliffs towards Marshclan. The last flowed from the Pointed Caverns and connected the rivers together. As it did in all the clans.
Taigaclan camp was surrounded by younger trees. Small but still thick enough to hide the camp. There was long hanging bramble covering, and a poisonous plant that caused irritation when met with a cats skin. The only place that it wasn't located was the entrance.
The entrance was a large tunnel leading to into a slight divet. It brought you out into the clearing and across was the leaders den.
A rock layed over a fallen tree from a storm long ago is where the Taigaclan leader stayed.
To the left was the Elder's den. Their nests laid under a thick thorn-bush with the inside hallowed out.
The medicine den was across from them. It is a cracked rock leading into an old closed off tunnel. Down there it was cool and it allowed for the herbs to stay fresher longer.
The nursery was next to the medicine den. It was another large thorn bus, but it had moss padding along the inside. An extra layer of bramble was placed over the entrance for protection. There were some holes you could tell were recently patched up.
The warriors den and apprentice den were near the entrance. The dens were two broken half of an old fallen pine. The warriors slept in under the large stump and roots, while the apprentices stayed in the hollow log of the tree. Thistle and thorns covered the entrances.
Fresh kill would rest in the center of the camp. It was where many of the cats came to gossip.
There was training pit near the camp. It rested along the west border next to a small Thunderpath. It seems to be abandoned, but there are many times during the warmer moons when monsters can be heard.
Roseripple thought that Tiagaclan was the prettiest out of all. During Leaf-bare the snow stuck to the branches and made the trees look magical. While in Greenleaf it was a vibrant green and brown. The only thing she envied was the changing colors of the leaves along the Tundraclan south border.
Standing at the entrance were two warriors that were left to guard the camp. Featherstar has had the camp heavily protected for the past few moons. He -along with most of the camp- were still on edge. Especially with the way Tundraclan has been acting lately.
The leader stopped to speak with Howler. The former rouge was a good cat with a good heart. He had worked hard to prove himself to the clan. For he had fought his own brother to protect his new home, and had lost his ears for it.
With the light-colored tom was Crowsun. He was a warrior for a few seasons now. Older than Roseripple, but still as fierce as when he was an apprentice. He didn't like Featherstar's decision of taking in the rouges, but he had soon accepted it. He was now even mates with one.
Roseripple peered over the rest of the group. Her ears were angled forward in an attempt to try to hear what the two cats were saying.
"You're not going to be able to hear them." Muttered Cinderleaf. The spotted tom sat behind Roseripple, "You're too far back, and Featherstar speaks softly."
The light she-cat shrugged, "I was just curious."
"Never a good thing." replied the tom.
Roseripple gave him a confused look. She opened her mouth to reply, but a movement up front stopped her. When she turned to look, it was nothing more than Featherstar motioning for the rest of the clan to enter the camp.
Cinderleaf rushed in front of her, but Roseripple paid now mind to the old tom. Instead she kept in step with Owlpoppy. The two entering through the tunnel into camp.
Once on the other side, Roseripple took in a deep breath of air.
She was home.
