COVER-5. Is your cover enticing? Are the words legible? Does it make sense?
Grammar- 10. Are words spelled correctly? Are the sentences run ones? Is the tense consistent?
Plot- 20. Are cliches overused? Is it exciting? Does it make you want to stick your head in a out of flames, or keep reading?
Characters- 15. Are your characters realistic, emotional characters that are likable? Is your character a Mary Sue? Does your character formulate REAL relationships?
Total- 50.
For Poetry, contestants will be judged on
10 grammar
5 cover (both of these don't change)
10 image (what image does it create when being read?
15 deeper meaning (what is the message?)
10 language (what kind of language do you use to inspire the reader?)
10 enjoyable (how enjoyable was the poetry reading experience?)
