Hey guys! I posted again! I hope you enjoy!
Takumi's POV
When I woke up, I saw Corrin. She was staring right into my eyes. I got up, and realized that I was lying down on a field. This was five days before Corrin killed herself.
"Hey, Takumi. Don't black out on us like that. I was afraid that the same thing that happened to Azura would happen to you." Corrin sighed. She was definitely a lot more depressed than I last remembered her to be.
"Wait- what happened to Azura?" I asked. I definitely did not remember anything happening Azura.
"How could you forget? She died today. She collapsed on the ground and never woke up. Everyone thinks that she used her power of song too much."
So that's what Azura meant by sacrifice. Oh geez. I didn't realize, I thought.
"Hmm... I wonder what she was singing in her last moments..." I said, the pit in my stomach growing ever larger.
"Probably the same song she always sings. What else would she sing?" Corrin just sat there, a vacant expression on her face.
"I don't know. Maybe she'd sing something else for once." I suggested.
"Come on, Takumi. You lived with her for almost your whole life. She never sings anything else." Corrin reminded me.
"Oh yeah. Sorry, I just don't know how to react to this." I sighed and got up. "What were we doing before here anyway?"
"We were going to pick flowers for Azura's funeral. But as we were about to leave, you dropped down onto the field and blacked out. We should get going." Corrin started to walk. She was holding a bouquet of beautiful calla lilies.
"Wait. Do we even know how she truly died-"
"I don't want to talk about this. Don't speak of Azura. I don't ever want to remember ever again." Corrin hissed. She wasn't in a good mood.
"You're not alone, Corrin. I understand that your not happy right now. But listen to me. I know how you feel." I tried to remind her.
"But you don't. And you never will. You never liked Azura." Corrin spat.
"Well then. I hope you have a great time being alone with all of your crazy thoughts. Believe what you want to believe." I waved my hand and started to leave.
"Wait- Sorry! I'm just sour. I hope you understand why. Well, anyway, I want to pick at least one other flower besides a calla lily." Corrin pointed to a flower called the Forget-me-not. Or called the Myosotis Alpestris. "The name seems fitting. Just grab a whole ton of then. They're kind of small after all. Hey! That rhymed." She joked, trying to be happy. But she definitely wasn't. But I decided not to bother her and just picked the flowers.
"I think we're done." I grabbed her hand, and we started to walk over to the castle.
"They make plans pretty quickly for funerals, right?" I tried to spark up a conversation.
"Sure. If they were so quick, why weren't they able to save Azura in time?" Corrin asked. "They could have done it if they had been quick enough."
"If that's what you believe, I'll let you believe that. But trust me: There's nothing they could have done." I sighed.
"Hmm... You're acting kind of suspicious. It's as if you know more than the rest of us. I'm keeping my eye on you." Corrin looked at me, then left into the castle.
"If only I could tell her the truth." I sighed, and turned to go to my room.
"If only you could tell her the truth about what?" Someone tapped me on the shoulder.
It was Leo.
