Emma:

I woke up to the annoying device sitting on my bedside cabinet, screaming at me and letting me know it was morning time. It was 5:30 am, a Monday, and also my first day of college. Yep, that's right. I'll be attending UCLA otherwise known as, "The University of California, Los Angeles." Was I excited? Fuck yeah! This school is the bomb.com and I'm sure as heck proud of myself for getting into it.

After laying in my bed for approximately 6 minutes longer, I get up and have a shower, making myself presentable for my first day. Also, since the drive to UCLA is 1 hour from where I live, my mom decided that I should get a dorm room. I'm silently praying that my roommate is either someone fun or some nerd that won't talk to me, I don't want a bitchy roommate. That would piss me the fuck off. I was eating some cereal when my mom walked into the room. "Hey sweetie, ready for your big day?" she smiled at me "I think so.. I put all my bags in the car last night so after I'm finished eating I should be good to go."

"Okay.." After a minute of silence, I noticed that she was beginning to tear up so I got up and wrapped my arms around her thin waist. "Mom it's okay, it's just college, I'm not joining a convent!" I chuckled. "I know, I know. I'm just so proud of you." She pulled back from our embrace and wiped her wet cheeks.

"Thanks mom. I'm gonna get going now." I can't do emotional settings, the sooner I leave, the better. My mom decided to walk me out and we were hugging once again. "Call me as soon as you get there, okay?"

"Okay, I love you." She pulled back from our embrace and kissed me on the cheek. "I love you too." With that, I got into my car, ready for this hour drive, and extremely ready for college.

This is bullshit. This map is not helpful at all. I groaned out loud and then sent a glare to the people giving me weird looks. I was trying to figure out where my dormitory was and it just wasn't happening. Right now, I'm just standing in the middle of a walk way, with two suitcases (a girl needs clothes) and this huge ass map that gave me no clues as to which way to go.

Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Are you okay? You seem lost." I turned around and was met with a pair of blue eyes.

This guy is tall. He had blonde hair, styled into a quiff and he was wearing black skinny jeans, a black shirt, paired with a plaid blue shirt and vans. This dude is hot as hell.

"Um, no not really. I'm just attempting to find my dormitory and it's not really working out" I chuckled.

"Which dorm?" he asked. "B...?" I stated, more as a question than a statement actually. "Oh yeah. A friend of mine is in that dorm, I can take you there if you'd like?" He smiled, showing off a dimple in his right cheek. "That would be great." Finally someone to save me from this goddamn map.

"Cool, I'm Luke, by the way" He added, grabbing the handle of my larger suitcase and beginning to walk with it. I quickly started after him "Thanks spirit guide Luke, I'm Emma." What? Why am I so weird?

"Spirit guide? I hope you don't mean angels, thats not me. If you're talking about Vodka however, I'm your guy" I could tell he was serious. "Well, I guess you are now my guy."

"This is it. The sheet said your room number is C13, here it is."

"Thanks so much, I really appreciate this. I think if it weren't for you I'd still be wondering aimlessly around" I laughed, which he returned.

"I'm sure you would've found your way eventually. Listen, um, tonight me and my friends are having a small get together. You seem pretty awesome and I was wondering if you'd wanna come and hang?" He spoke quite quickly.

"That sounds great." I smiled at him.

"Awesome." he smiled back.

After exchanging numbers and awkward goodbyes, he was off, and it was time to meet my roommate. Joy.
